What is wrong with our country? Let me tell ya all about it.

1) The media only lets young people hear/know about very few "artists", and those "artists" are very disposable ones. Its all about making a quick buck. There are 10,000 bands in the area I live in. And 99 percent of them sound like the narrow spectrum you hear on the radio or TV...they are all trying to "make it" and "get signed"....they just don't realise that by the time it takes to "get there"...it will be a whole new fad that they don't know how to play, and the shit that they have been doing will be a joke, overnight.

So there is alot of Rock bands...but many aren't legit.

2) We have either forgotten, or never knew in the first place about REAL American culture. Younger people never get to hear the cool Temptations songs....or real good heavy rock like Iggy, unless its briefly on a fucking commercial.

Think about it....Americans didn't give a fuck about Blues or Jazz music whatsoever, even though its where Rock and Roll came from....BUT YOU GUYS respected it....watered it down somewhat...and SOLD IT right back at us...and we ate it up.

Death to the RIAA! ;)

I grew up in southern West Virginia...no Kenny Rogers.

Lived a few years in South Carolina...still no Kenny.

Reminds me of the "Kenny Rogers Roaster's" I visited in South Carolina....they were all out of chicken, no shit.

50 or over...or whomever, are keeping quiet about it, thats for sure....It's very suspect.

Maybe your average Kenny Rogers fan isn't as vocal about their love of the man as the Rotharmy is.

Wonder if there is a Rogersarmy online somewhere. :D
