So get this...

You can release 1 player...once...and I think it's one player a year...or maybe one player EVER...and not have their contract count against the cap...

for example...

the Lakers can dump Brian Grant's 15 million dollar deal...for the next 2 years...

or the Knicks can dump Allan Houstan's 40 million left on his contract...

They'll still make the money...but the Knicks and the Lakers won't have to count it against their cap...and will pay less in luxury tax...

Sounds good right?

well...it's funny...because Houston and Grant will still get the 15 and 20 million that they are owed (what were the fucking Knicks thinking?) AND they can sign a seperate deal with ANOTHER team...

meaning...those guys could sign for the midlevel exception of around 5 million for another team...while still collecting their 15 million or so from their other team...

so...Brian Grant, Allan Houston, Michael Finley...COULD ALL be making 20 million plus next year...lmfao...

and Grant averaged 4 points and 3 boards a game...

christ...the loopholes in these deals...

Well...it's funny...it lets off teams for fucking up (even though they still have to pay the cash to those players...but not much, much more due to the salary cap)...

and allows those shit players to make an ungodly amount of money...

fucking Grant will make 15 million over the next two years...so if he has a decent year next year...and gets...say...an 8 million or 10 million dollar deal the following year...the fucker could make Shaq money...
