I watched Goodfellas yesterday

I have to say, before yesterday I didn't want to watch it, for some reason, but after i did watch it, i realised how great this film was and how it's portrayal of the mafia was so deep.

My only complaint about the Godfather Part II is that they didn't show enough of the early days with DeNiro as Vito. A few more scenes would have been nice. . .still a brilliant movie though

What I think is cool is that the movie Casino is almost an extension of GoodFellas....I mean Robert Deniro and Joe Pesci pretty much play the same characters...Bob as the senior made guy, and Pesci as the out of control underling who loses it and has super-violent fantasies of being Joe Dimaggio, much to the detriment of the organization.

They went "Joe Dimaggio" on Pesci at the end of Casino...thats for sure!

Because of this movie, I don't feel the same when I listen to
'Layla' from Derek & The Dominoes. I'm talking about the end
scene where you here the narration and the second part of the
song being played in the background. You see what happened to the
characters who got 'wacked'. Talk about an ending that's hard to forget!

I can't vote,it's way too hard with all those films being absolute classics.
Mob movies are the best,I watched State Of Grace for the first time in about 10 years the other day and had forgot how much of a good flick it was.

Scarface is my fave, but the Sonny Corleone whippin' ass scene forever stands out in my mind. Especially when I was younger and wanted to kick someones ass, that's what I would visualize.
