5 most influential women in rock 'n roll

Who are the top 5 women who paved the way for women in rock?

    My choices would be:

    1. Janis Joplin
    2. Patti Smith
    3. Ann & Nancy Wilson of Heart
    4. Joan Jett both in the Runaways with Lita Ford and solo
    5. Stevie Nicks both in Fleetwood Mac and solo

        LOL!!!!!!!

I'd say Melissa Auf Der Maur!!!

Sheryl Crow has had potential in my opinion but she's wasting her talent on radio-friendly pop-shit...

Songs like "My favorite mistake" and "A Different kind" - I like them very much but there's too much shit on her albums too...

Pat Benatar and Kate Bush. I dont dig all of Kate's music but she has got a few songs that are out of this world. Pat Benatar was/is a sensational Female Rock singer.

          Pat Benatar
          Kate Bush
          Suze Demarchi
Whoever that chick was that sang "Baby its you"
Whoever thay chick was that sang with Meatloaf (Elen Foley ?)

Dang, how could I forget Benatar and Bush? I would've placed them over Nicks any day, especially Bush.
Gotta love those "hounds of love".

Wendy Williams! "W.O.W." from '84, produced by Gene Simmons is the BEST one even though I have a co-worker who thinks "maggots" is the best.
Dang, I shoulda upped the choices to 10 most influential women.

                              Don't forget Chrissie Hynde.
