The softwood lumber dispute continues to fester.

Once again the bi-national panel has unanimously ruled in Canada's favor and once again the US trade representative is looking to all legal challenges.

The only problem is this time the US lumber lobby represented by the US government (and their logrolling senators) has to launch a constitutional challenge which would nulify NAFTA.

The ironic thing in this whole affair is that by relying on these stolen tarrifs, the log and timber producing states have seen their relative efficiency drop even further behind their Canadian counterparts.

What was once a large gap has become insurmountable as Canadian companies (many owned by Americans) have had to consolidate mills.

Question : Who will trust the US in future trade negotiations, and where will you get your water, oil and other natural resources?
