Okay...this may be a very gay idea. But considering the amount of negativity that can sometimes spring from this place, this is a nice, sincere thought. I don't want this to turn into any excuse for cuntroversy or soap opera crap. I want this thread to be a sincere place in which people can voice their thoughts on other posters they've considered friends or comrades for whatever reason.

Try to be creative and give any tribute a good reason to exist: Don't begin with "I'd like to call BILLY BOB a friend of mine because he gave me some dirt on another poster and we destroyed said poster with it". That's kinda stupid.:D

And don't make this a thread for sarcasm...don't post about people you hate. Seriously, if you have props to give someone, express it here and say why. I like it a lot better than a star system myself.

Keep in mind, this isn't about who your best friend at the site is...that's fucking gay. All it is is: if someone is cool in your book, if someone did something cool for ya, gave ya boots, listened to you through a personal problem, let you have his/her skinny sister for a night of penetration, thank said person here. It's that simple. And you can give props anytime you want, whenever you want. You're not dissing someone else by giving props to a particular person...

I want to give a shout-out to my bro CATHEDRAL. One of many great friends I have here...CATHEDRAL is a longtime veteran of VH-land and a legend in these-here parts. Dude was also an excellent mod and the whole team is still glad as shit to still have him around.

I've been glad to listen to this dude's recent ups and downs, been glad as hell to have him listen to mine. The point is, if anyone has someone like CATHEDRAL for a friend, then that person is better off.

And the point of this is to focus on SPECIAL reasons, dixit Rikk, the starter himself.

So, I'll start with DG. I quit the Army for a couple of weeks a few months ago, fed up with the too invading alias stuff. I thought I was gone for good then. There was a lot of confusion. I had sympathized (who wouldn't?) with her on the forums, and I wanted to tell somebody I was leaving, so I mailed her. That's it. I wanted to have one last contact, and I "chose" DG, not at random for sure... otherwise it could have been Katydid!:D Thank you DG!

Now BG777... When she came in here, she was kind of mistaken for some other alias, which of course she didn't understand and pissed her, so we sent a few mails to each other in French, and I discovered somebody really fine. I might meet her soon as her job leads her close to where I live. She told me so, and that's very nice of her. Having a drink with BG, how kewl! So, merci BG!:) T'es ben rock 'n' roll!:)

Finally, I'd like to say I miss Antonella (from Toronto if I remember well) who registered in January I think, a student who first posted while attending a course in the "Fan Introduction" section. Here I only have regrets that she nearly doesn't post anymore: she is very funny and dynamic, a little like CanGirl whom I like a lot too of course.:)
