Can't Forget the Stones at 67, I don't see why every thinks nirvana is so good, Cobain ruined music in my opinion, Sure he had a few decent songs, But he is the one who is responsible for these shitty emo bands, and Nu Metal Shit, U hate the guy with a fucking passion for this, Plus he Broke up GN'R. GRohl is the onyl talented member of that Band in my opinion.

Well, neither the Stones or the Who are hard rock in the first place. They're ROCK, plain and solid. In fact, those two bands wrote the textbook of what "Rock" is. Then again, even KISS to me are "Rock" rather than "Hard Rock". And bands like The Ramones and The Clash are punk, and that's a different set of rules and parameters from "Hard Rock" too. (This is why these lists are always useless to me.)

That being said, how AC/DC beat CVH is beyond me.

I'm the same way with Ozzy. His voice just annoys me.

Everyone can argue that most of these bands belong in different categories. It looks to me like there wasn't anyone left out though.

Does it matter, really?

I have never sat and organized all the bands I like into a big list.

If I ever did, it would probably change every day.

You either like it or you don`t.

The compilers of this chart probably don`t know shit about Heavy Metal.

Anyone who did would never have had Quiet Riot in there.

If it's a list made within certain perimeters, by a hand-select team, I ain't interested.

(And most of these "definitive" lists fall into that category...)

They changed their name to Soul Brains a couple of years ago. Of course their old stuff is still under Bad Brains, but I thought I'd bring up the name change in case you wanted some newer stuff.

That list is shit........Spinal Tab was a movie and made the list.
But Dio that is as real metal as Sabbath isn't even in the list.

For the guy that doesn't like Sabbath because of Ozzy's voice........Man try the albums with Dio (Mob Rules, Dehumanizer) and tell us what you think.

Also I agree with the explanation by DavidLeeNatra about the place of VH in the list

The Who aren't hard rock? They're the fathers of hard rock, IMO. Won't Get Fooled Again, Baba O'Riley, I Can See For Miles, I Can't Explain, Heaven And Hell, etc. are great examples of early hard rock. Musically, the Who had that heavy, power chord kind of style that became typical of hard rock. They were doing it about as early as anybody else, and they pioneered a lot of things that became hard rock trademarks (volume, lighting, etc).

I thought the Who had always been seen as a hard rock band.
