Not for me...I have a Volvo, thank you very much. My folks are going to buy a new Japanese car, and I'm thinking of being a good son and trying to help them make their decision. I was thinking either a Nissan Altima, a Honda Accord or a Camry.

Anybody have any experiences with this?

We have a Toyota 4-Runner and that fucker has been golden. Never has any problems. Although, I prefer my Chev Suburban cos it's a big motherfucker. Plus when I go over a bumpy road, it sounds like I have chickens in the car. :)

I can tell you that on domestic cars, even today, parts will start to fail at around 100,000-150,000 km (what is that in miles?)

Japanese cars have similar parts rated at more like 300,000-450,000 km before they start to fail
