the album came out yesterday, and I have to say it totally smokes.

By and far probably their best album in about 8 years.

very comparable to Ear Candy, maybe a bit of Dogman.

Here's a link to their first single off the album. "Alone"

I know there are/were some King's X fans on this site, so go out and support the boys!!

Wow, cool. Dogman was an outstanding album, my favorite from King's X.

Good news.

'Alone' sounds great - can't wait to hear the rest of the album...

btw, is anyone else seeing that advert at the top of the page for 'myspace.com/thebooth'? they've ripped off the VH stripes!

Hope it's good, I have sort of lost interest in King's X the last 5 years or so. But I was a huge fan for awhile. Ear Candy was their last great album, although Mr. Bulbous had its moments.

a bump for the boys.... I can't recommend this enough.

They've been doing this for over 20 years, and the reason that they haven't ever "broken out" is truly beyond me.

Those of you that haven't heard of these guys, check out the link in the first post of this thread and give their single a whirl.... ya should like it.

They're too good to be popular.

some of Ty Tabor's side projects are great too -

The Jelly Jam - with Rod Morgenstein (The Dregs) and John Myung (Dream Theater)

Platypus (which is essentially the same band, but with Derek Sherinian on keyboards)

They were too "Christian" to ever be popular. Their stuff was way too involved to get airplay when grunge broke. They had a shot when Dogman came out, but lost it.
