last Friday I went home and caught that horrible movie 'FM' on either Sundance or IFC. The wife and I just sat there and watched it.

It is one of those movies that comes on and I just watch it...no matter where it is in the story line, I'll just sit and watch it. (I do this with the 'Shawshank Redemption' as well)

Anyways....during one of the scenes Boz Scaggs' 'Lido Shuffle' is playing in the background....I don't know what it is about this song but I LOVE IT! It must bring back a greater unconciousness from the 70s when I was so much younger than today.

Anyways...I think I will cruise Grimey's for a copy of this:

Boz Scaggs (http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:xl508qxtbtv4)

in vinyl, of course.

I laugh everytime that I watch the episode of Family Guy where Peter tells Lois he got her the Complete Boz Scaggs. Who the hell would buy that?

In my youth my parents would listen to it and me and my brother would call him "Ball Bagz" and change the titles of the songs to be about ball bagz and other genital related titles..

good times..

Dirty low down was a cool disco song.

More power to him for his success, but he is not EVEN my cup o' tea...

I'm hip, I with-it ,I'm jive to the jeeve and down to the, Bozz Skaggs.

-Georgia- is a pretty song, Some songs must be pretty.

Rising and Falling song stylings are easy emotional trigers this is
a fine example.

Boz put out some good stuff over his career. What was cool is he never compromised, he did what he wanted, when he wanted.

Oh yeah man! Fagan's side project while the Dan was pregnant with Two Against Nature. Even got a few illicit recordings of them (like maybe a song or two). Caught Zingg with the Dan I believe in 1996....all the concerts I have been to and who played at what seem to run together now that I am getting old. Anyhoo - Zingg is an absolute monster and I believe he played on a lot of those famous Boz Skaggs records. If you are interested in those Review songs I have....pm me your email and I'll forward them to ya' forthwith.

I like a few of Boz's songs, very easy to listen to and relax...Lido Shuffle, Lowdown, We're All Alone, It's Over, Look What You've Done to Me are my 5 favorites.

And I'm still not gay or owned, so don't get any bright fuckin' ideas, kids.
