Why do we men have to put the seat back down when we're done taking a leak?

I want a legitimate reason....one that makes sense.

personally, the chicks I see bitching about it are usually the same ones that say Harry Potter is sexist because the main character is a boy and think they can live without men completely.

And I realized that there are a lot of chicks out there that think like that. And that scared me because it's so trivial.

I have no problem lowering the seat and my brother NEVER remembers to do it. Do I bitch? No. What for? There are bigger problems in the world.

It IS trivial....I never understood why girls care. I mean, are they worried about falling in? And if so, why are they sitting down without LOOKING first? :D

Personnally, when I enter a bathroom and the seat is up (eaven on a clean toilet) I find it ugly and messy looking.

Why do we have seat covers on those toilets...
So we can get a glance at that "cool refreshing" water?
