LOVE TO SELL COBAIN CATALOGUE


Troubled rocker COURTNEY LOVE is reportedly considering selling her rights to the back catalogue of her late husband KURT COBAIN and NIRVANA.

Gossip site PageSix.com reports the former HOLE frontwoman is having financial problems following a string of legal wrangles and has valued the Nirvana rights at $100 million (GBP55 million).

The news is expected to upset Cobain's former bandmates DAVE GROHL, KRIST NOVOSELIC and CHAD CHANNING, who have sued Love for control over Nirvana rights and for their entitlement to royalties.

(OLYMPIA, Wash.) - A historic home bought by singer Courtney Love is up for public auction to satisfy debts in a foreclosure case.

The Olympian reports Love bought the bungalow outside Olympia, Washington, in 1997 for the family of her late husband, Kurt Cobain.

Love now owes about $367,000 to WMC Mortgage of Los Angeles, which filed for foreclosure.

According to documents filed with a lawsuit in October 2004, Love quit making mortgage payments in December 2003. Sheriff's records indicate the house is currently occupied by Cobain's sister, Kim.

Love can retain ownership by satisfying the debt before the property goes to auction on January sixth. Anyone who buys the house is responsible for the back property taxes, most recent listed at about $7,800.

I hope The rights go back to Grohl and Noveslic, Afterall they were in the band and played on the albums. SONG SALE £70M FOR COURTNEY


ROCK widow Courtney Love will net £70million by selling her late husband Kurt Cobain's songs.

The actress and rock singer is selling a quarter of the Nirvana frontman's back catalogue to disgraced US lifestyle guru Martha Stewart.

Released from jail this year after five months for insider trading, Stewart wants the songs as an investment.

A friend said: "It's an astonishing deal. It sorts out Courtney financially."

Cobain and Courtney, 41, wed in 1992. They had a daughter Frances Bean, now 11, before he killed himself with a gun in April 1994, aged 27.

Cobain rose to fame with songs like Smells Like Teen Spirit and Come As You Are. The album Nevermind sold over 10 million copies.
