Pete Townshend has announced a likely Who tour in the new year with some new Who music possible.

Not sure I care anymore but I still think Pete is one of the most quotable Rock stars of all time. Here's some of what he said:

Of his own new music, Townshend says, "I certainly don't give a flying f--- whether anything I write is a hit, or will get played on my beloved rock radio, or sell a million. ...

"What I care about is that Roger Daltrey feels comfortable with the songs I write so he can sing a few of them on stage -- while I lunge around looking gorgeous and playing show-off guitar like a kid in a music shop," he said. "After 45 years of this crap I've just started to enjoy it."

Well it's better than another Greatest Hits album I guess.

It also marks the 24th aniversary of their first farewell tour in 1982. They've been saying goodbye longer than they were originally around.

I'm glad Pete enjoys it. But it ain't The Who with half the band dead.

FORD nailed it: the Who died a LONG time ago.

Glad Pete's enjoying himself, and agree some new stuff is ALWAYS more worthwhile than another Who Best Of Compilation, but...this ain't news about the Who.
