lol noooooo... it's latin for 'Close the (pack) before you strike'

an allusion to 'Pyromania'

I disagree somewhat. They went downhill after Clark died. Only 2 good songs on 'Adrenalize' - Let's Get Rocked and Tear It Down - coincidentally the only ones they wrote with Steve.

On Thru The Night sucked in a monotonous way.

Euphoria wasn't bad at all - I liked it.

I only have the first three albums.
The rest sucked.
Well... Hysteria was okay... gods of war...
But they were alot better with Willis!

Vivian Campbell totally wasted himself with Leppard. That guy was shit-hot on those first two Dio albums, had a few good spots on Sacred Heart. Then he tours with Whitesnake...then doing fuck-all guitar-wise with Leppard.

Dunno about them going downhill after Willis left, but I'd sooner listen to High N' Dry than anything else by Lep these days. Pyromania was decent, but Hysteria was WAYYYYYYYY overproduced. Listening to it these days, half the shit sounds like Mutt Lange jacking off with the mixing console as opposed to actual songs. Shit like Rocket and Excitable in particular.

From the Def Leppard F.A.Q......

http://www.defleppard.com/faq/index.html

5.1 - WHAT DOES "GUNTER GLIEBEN GLAUTEN GLOBEN" MEAN?

Nothing in particular (although the band sometimes jokingly claims it means "running through the forest silently"). It's gibberish said by producer Mutt Lange during the recordings of "ROCK OF AGES", instead of the regular one, two, three, four.

High n' Dry was a fucking awesome album.

Pyromania really sounds dated, needs to be remastered.

Hysteria was overproduced, but still sounds grate no matter how good or cheap your speakers are.
