I dug Frampton with Humble Pie. I guess he had to leave his balls with Marriott when he left.

I thought Frampton played a Les Paul Standard, no?

How did Schenker miss out on the opportunity to have Gibson do one of his Vs?
Bad apples for agents and business manager that cut the deal with Dean to put out those signature boat anchors, instead of the gear he actually plays. STUPID!!

Would have been cool...

No shit.
But Mikey is a virtuoso on guitar, a sucker on business matters.

You ain't kidding. Here are some of his other classic lousy decisions.

1."Why should I stay with my brothers gay band? Scorpions will never amount to anything?"

2.UFO? Ah fuck it, I can do better on my own.

3. Hang up on Ozzy when he calls to ask for my help after he lost his guitarist.

4. "I think the mountainman- homeless look will help me sell more of these shitty Dean Flying Vs."

Damn shame man. One of my favorite guitarists...

I would say it is more of a "homeless-bum" look than anything else.

Though when I met him in 1999, he was looking pretty sharp.

No. That is the Peter Frampton Signature Model.

The "Inspired By" Frampton Guitar is different.

The V looks great, but I guess its success, at least here, will be a victim of Gibson´s pricing policy.

I might check out if some of them show up on Costco´s website!

Reminds me of the Ace Frehley signature model they made...only with a paint job.

I think David Lee Roth would tell you to "Stand Up" and play your god damn Flying V!

:-)

WTF? The V is very comfy sitting down.

All you do is let the top wing rest on top of your right leg, and the bottom wing hang down underneath it.

In fact I sit around noodling on my V quite often and never have a problem.

LOL never thought of that.

I just kept letting the thing slip off my leg.

It was my pals and I was young at the time...

The only problem with the V is that it's not accurate. It's not reverse-strung!

Mine is plenty accurate...I do not have any trouble with it, but then I have had it for 17 years and am very much used to it...no tuning problems whatsoever....even when I beat the shit out of it..

“This guitar has seen a lot of blood, sweat,
and tears,” John marvels. “I’ve played it
for 26 years, and I wouldn’t sell it for a
million bucks.”

Now does this fucking mean we'll have to pay 1,000,001 dollars for that mofo?

:P

How about a Clapton SG from the Cream days.
