Beginning now....DIARY OF A MADMAN!!!!

Followed by "THE ABOMINABLE DR. PHIBES"!!!!!

Wow......I have not seen this in 30 fucking years.....tivo works dude tivo wooooorks....

and after that....

THE BAT

Co-starring Agnes Moorehead!

(Who used to call Darrin Stevens "Dustbin" on the TV show "Bewitched").

But what REALLY freaked me out was the movie that just finished.....

THE MASQUE OF THE RED DEATH!!

If you want to see a freaky, heavy, Medieval horror film of the finest kind (Satan worshippers included) ya have to check out the cruel goodness (well....vice-versa actually) of Vincent Price in this fucking amazing adaptation of a story by one "Edgar Allan Poe".

I want this on DVD someday.

Totally trippy.

It is the first time I have seen it.
Vincent starred in some truly BAD movies in his career...but MANY classics. When I saw him in Edward Scissorhands, I was really depressed, as I had not seen him in years, and I knew looking at him it was his last film...

Wow man.

Faaaar out.

Groovy....

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..................

Anyway, I just realized where Iron Maiden got the inspiration for their "Dance Of Death" album.....as during the film there is a sequence in a ballroom where they do the "Dance Of Death".

Do NOT watch this movie on acid. You might not come back....because SATAN WILL TAKE YOU AWAAAAAAAAAaaaaayyyyyyyy.....

MWUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!

I thinks so as well, though I actually hate the tone of his voice. That is what made him so great in horror films....always that soft, velvet voice plotting to rip your throat out, crush your skull, or slice you up wif a big pendulum.....

His voice kinda creeps me out haha.....

Hardrock you rule i watched all those last night Dr.Phibes is one of my
fav horror flicks, it's interestignly silly and fantastic all at the same time.

Whatever my op good or bad on Ted Turner he has saved millions of feet of old film resored and so greatly apreciated and important work.

I had never seen Phibes in Letterbox and was like a kid in a candy store. Even all the times i had rented Phibes the VHS was garbage .
No letterbox

Great thread !

Vincent Price was a cool mofo.. Back in the early 70's my father inlaw was lead camera man at a tv station (CHCH) in Hamilton,Ontario where
show "The Hilarious House of Frightenstein" was filmed. Price had a recurring role in the show which he filmed all his segments in a 3 week period . After shooting he would come over to my father inlaws place and drink Labatts 50 with him in his back yard. The photos almost look surreal..LOL !
A consumate pro with a great great sense of humour and a taste for Canadian beer !!!

R.I.P.

Have you seen the show? It's pretty cool for the time. Loved it as a kid. Well done for the small budget they had to work with.......

Never heard of it.

But then, Vincent was in MANY movies, TV programs, etc.

So it is not surprising I have not heard of it.

Somewhat along the lines of your statement -missing parts of movies-

I have this weird habit of getting up in the movie theater or wherever
I happen to be when i'm watching a movie,Just to miss a little bit, on
purpose .That means to me it will always be interesting and everytime I see said flick, it will have new scenes i've never see.

This is a conscious thing I've done as long as i can remember..

I'm idiosyncratic! Other than this quirk, I'm a Saint??.lol

Jeez I'm a Freek! :)

It was a Canuck show, I'm not sure if it aired in the States or not. Used to watch it every morning before school. Billy Van was incredible, and played MOST of the characters.
