Didn't see it, Damnit knew I should've watched him, Was Watching Super Bowl Highlights on ESPN Classic. They did a Skit dissing him ON SNL on that show too, It wasn't even funny (Well most SNL eps are not these days anyway.)

Yeah the skit about him was weak...especially coming after his performance.

Yeah I was suprised they would pull a stunt like that, I mean If your going to do something like that at least have Prince come in and do a cameo. Do you have a link, Prince really should be doing more songs with more guitar, listen ot the solo in Lets Go Crazy, It sounds like the solo in Ice Cream Man.

Prince is a very good guitarist...

You can make fun of his style and all that, but his muscianship and writing ability is indesputable...

There's a classic lore of PRINCE in Buffalo. In 1993 (I think), he performed an extended three hour concert at the Aud. Then went to a local music club, and performed an impromptu local concert for another three hours...

I wish he would tear it up more as well, and drift over to more of his Hendrix-rock leanings...

Damn, I miss Prince the way he was. Dude could "throw the fuck down" with 6 strings. Check him out at the hall of fame a year or two ago. He opened the show and then stole the show when he came out to play the Clapton solo in "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" when George Harrison got inducted.
TORE IT UP IN A GOOD WAY!

Kinda sorry I missed it, had no idea Prince was the musical guest...

...half heard a commercial earlier in the week for 'Steve Martin hosting SNL this week', pretty much thought; Steve Martin, sucked for awhile now, SNL, sucked for awhile now, gonna give both a big miss.

"Remember in the 80's everybody was split on who's better and stranger Prince or Michael Jackson?" "Well, Prince won!"

Prince has always emulated Hendrix. Its obvious from "purple rain"to this performance. Not a dig.Prince is "da man" musically.I thought his tone sounded like shit, but, then again, the sound quality on SNL traditionally sounds like shit.I always wondered about that.Prince can play(?) intruments well.He also composes in different styles well that I dont see others able to do competently.I once saw an interview with Prince where he was asked about part of his stage performance(in the 80s)where he simulated felatio with the guitar player. His response:Its rock n roll.Bad-ass!Also,...that cat can ball....
