Now...I'll admit...I don't place a lot of trust in polls...

The old "Figures don't lie...but Liars can figure"...

BUT..I was listening to BILL O'Rilley on the way home from work the other night...and he was talking abouot a poll conducted on his site, billO'Rilly.com, and how this particular poll was, and I quote, "A BIG DEAL" because, and again I qoute, "Over 100,000 people voted"...

So...I saw these AOL polls today...and used the same criteria for assessing their validity.....

as follows....

AOL's chat rooms are horribly biased towards the delusional right wing "freeper" extremist types. So to see these kind of poll results there is very encouraging. :)

Interesting results... yet we reelected him. Shows how people's minds can change all too quickly.

I don't think it was a case of people liking Bush at the time, per se...more of a case of Kerry not being the right guy to run...

I honestly think there would have been a significantly different result had the democratic party kept faith in Howard Dean...I am almost willing to absolutely guarantee that he'd have brutalized Bush in a straight out election.

Kerry was a very ho-hum, go nowhere, nothing to get excited about public speaker...seemed to me about as artificial up on stage as his face...I still think that, had the democratic party nominated Dean, our white house would look a LOT different today...in a public forum, Bush would've gotten his ass stomped by Dean whereas Kerry flailed about as often as he made a point...

Ah well...

Howard Dean would have scared the middle undecided voter. His extremest views make me excited he is in charge of the democratic party.

Ordinarily I wouldn't encourage the dumb little bastard, but I've listened to idiots accuse Howard Dean of "extremism" since the summer of 2003, and I have yet to see one example of an "extreme" ideal which Dean is promoting.

So I'm asking 4moronyears to put up or shut up.

Of course we both know the crap he spews is nothing but FAUX talking points anyway. The child wouldn't be capable of an original thought if Halliburton wasted $10 billion in taxpayer dollars expanding his empty skull to make room for it.

I think many in the far right hate Bush more than the liberals do. They feel Bush sold them out because Bush is responsible for bigger and more intrusive govt, out of control spending, and doing nothing about our domestic security.

The average Republican wants a smaller fedral govt., lower taxes, secure borders and imagration policies, less govt. regulations in their life. Bush has done just the opposite of what the average Republican wants.

The Democrats accuse the Republicans of pandering to the rich when in reality, most Republicans are mostly middle class people who are very independant and don't want much govt. in their way. If you look at the Republican states, it's deffinately not rich investment banker types voting, it's the average Joe.

People usually don't vote for something, they vote against something. Here in Wyoming, oil, coal, ranching, and agriculture are huge business. The Democratic party is full of animal rights activists, radicle envioronmentalist who literally would ruin how people live and make their living here. So that is why this is a Republican state.

I don't think the average Republican is happy with their party and I'm sure the average Democrat is going "What the fuck?" with their party.

I think somewhere in the middle the average Joe wants the same thing. One trait in both parties is the love of freedom. A Republican rancher loves the freedom of the open range with few regulations. The Democrat loves the freedom of speech and the freedom to protest. Really what people want is freedom but the freedom we like differs.

Some want the freedom to own a firearm. Some want a ton of govt. regulation to shape the world the way they like it so they can have the freedom to do what they want with nobody in the way. In short, everyone is trying to bend the govt. to protect what freedoms they want to enjoy.

One side will always tend to want bigger govt. that provides more and one side wants a smaller govt. that provides the essentials but leaves most of the providing up to the private sector.

The problem right now is we have a huge corrupt govt. that invades our lives and the private sector with it's corrupt corporate leaders are selling us out. We currently live in a wierd world of socialism and corrupt capatalism. Nobody is happy on either side of the isle especially the average Joe.
