I believe they decided he was mentally unfit so the penalty would not happen.

I think he was told that if he would switch back to Islam he would not be executed...he declined.

Our PM was just there visiting our troops and mentioned this case when he met with Hamid Karzai.
I think the thought was that if they want our troops there to make change, killing this man for switching religions would be unfavorable.

I was wrong...this discussion with our PM did not happen last week when he was there.

But but but.....

Isn't Afghanistan a "democracy" now?

Can't the "democratically elected" UNOCAL puppet who wears wallpaper for jackets do something about this?

Hmmm...before learning of this I was neutral towards Islam.

But now....

This is proof that Muslims are a bunch of fucking retard rag-head cocksuckers.

They can dig up Mohammed's bones and cram them up their fucking ignorant asses!!!

It goes against the entire idea of Democracy and if the penalty were to be allowed to go forward I'd have to revolt against them being considered an allie to the US.

Oh but wait, we support communism in other countries so we're already hypocrites.

As was already said, the extremist muslims are barbaric pieces of shit.

And a few Muslims actually agree with me on that.

More than a few, Cat. When they held protests up here against the publishing of the cartoons, they specifically said they were protesting the reaction of the extremist muslims even more.

KABUL, Afghanistan - The Afghan government faced heavy international pressure Friday to reconsider the charges against an Afghan man who faces a possible death sentence for converting from Islam to Christianity — and reports emerged that the man might be freed soon.

Pressure against the case has been building, and the Afghan government may be rethinking the charges against Abdul Rahman. A government official and MSNBC said Friday that Rahman may be freed within the next few days.

“He could be released soon,” an Afghan government official told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to comment on the case to the media.

. . . SHOVED a kid off a roof, when he was a kid, says St. Thomas, out of any punky Christian 'bible,' for telling the truth, as did the DISCIPLES, who tried to tell Paul's punky scribes the geek they changed name on to JESUS was bogus, with nothing fancy up but fake.

So Paul pimped Shovey up to real bigass Prophet, which was a MISTAKE. Sorry, X-mas WUZ the Feast of Mithran. Got took off.

Christian tweaks can get us all dead, from their bad-to-ugly traffic.

Snap it up girls, lose the works and blow me, works for CHRISTIANS worth saving. Not all of you are that, you bad box of chokes-on-chockies, wot are Christianity.

When you are THAT stupid, CNN can put up Andy Cooper sitting on his thumb for YEARS, looking like Gov. GRAY DAVIS fucked a duck and called the kid ANDY COOPER, in a damn stupor, sitting and spinning.

But as long as US idiots remain, the watchers of illegal interest AND Mujahadin can SEE, that the US is STUPID, watching a dummy or a duck on TV, who LOOKS LIKE THE GUY THEY HAVE TO BUST!

But WON'T. Gray Davis BLEW UP everybody's LT power deals with his California scams, announcing his negotiations to the ooligoply at fraud, then shooting it through the May-June 2001 nuke refurbishings, to up it 15% and draw Usama's 747 fleet.

SHIT.

:( All I have to say is the next time you Liberal, tree-hugging, fudge packing crybabies in progressive Western countries whine about simple shit (i.e. gas prices, internet surfing habits being traced and the phone tapping of Al Qaeda wannabes), remember this dude!

When was the last time an American, Canadian, Great Britain, Frenchie etc had to face execution over the way they worship ( or not) by their government? I guess it's alright (by most of you) that Christians are being threatened with execution for their faith. If this man was Jewish, you mofos would be crying for Bush to drop bombs on those Afghan bastards.

Shut the fuck up already, DAMN!

James Yee, a US citizen and Muslim army chaplain was held at Guantanamo Bay for a while.

He wasn't executed, but he might have been if the BCE had succeeded in hanging a bullshit "spy" charge on him.

Then there was the lawyer from Portland, whose name I forget (though I went to high school with his wife) who was a convert to Islam himself, and defended some "suspected terrorists" who were found innocent. The BCE tried to connect this guy to the goddamned London train bombings on the basis of one partial fingerprint.

So yes, this government DOES oppress people on the basis of their religion, and would imprison and even kill because of it. They just haven't gotten away with it yet.

But that's not the primary question here is it?

After 4 years of Chimpy crowing about his UNOCAL puppet Karzai running a democracy in Afghanistan, we here that Muslim fantacism still reigns supreme.

Why isn't Bush hammering Karzai's ass over this? Why isn't Karzai hammering the mullahs' asses?

Those are the questions that should be asked.

 :D There was more to that story than what you think, Ford Baby. He's not in Gitmo for religious reasons. You still side-stepped the point I made, too. You'll cry in your beer for a motherfucker that wants your country and way of life destroyed, but won't acknowledge the religious bias against Christianity.

Your obsession with George W. Bush is bordering on pornographic, baby...

Smooches! :yankeeros

We've got the same thing here in Ohio, and we also have our own brand of extremists that believes they have the right to lynch people without trials.

We live in a very volitile time, and it won't take much more to set off a major event that changes everyone's lives on earth, if they manage to survive that is.

Cooler heads used to prevail, but i see fewer and fewer of those cooler heads as each day passes.

My views on Christianity are clear i'm sure, but if people cannot be free in how they worship then there isn't really anything else to do but die.
I see the pictures of Abdul Rahman and i can't help but think back 2006 years ago when that first nail was driven into Christ's hand....He gave it all up for us, and Rahman is about to give it all up for him.
He's scared, but from what i see he's ready to go if it means foresaking Christ and giving up his faith.

And Warham would be correct in them NOT being an Allie if this man is sentenced to death for his faith.
Seriously, if they will kill this man for accepting Jesus as his savior then what does that say about how they view us?

I say send them a damn bill for services rendered to their country or design a neato parking lot where the whole of them lives and send in Fat Man and Little Boy.

It's a fucking work.

If ANYONE on either side of the fence didn't see this coming, they're out of their mind.

What's next? Who's the mysterious benefactor?

Is that over the top?
