Hiya ARMY Faithful;
This is now the year 2006! A new year and I'd like to thank all the mods for sticking with us as a board throughout the winter, and sometimes its a drag (and drop ::snareroll_crash::) sometimes it's a pleasure putting the Van Hagar boosters down while giving the booster seats to the real fans of Clasic Dave Halen.. you know, the real stuff you can't no more in anyways get!
We've had a fun year. We crashed very little, apparently to no loss of threads posts or data and I'm really glad you peoples held it together even though with some of you it's been more like holding the bladed edges together at each others' throats!
But thats all fine, we welcome all discussions both ontopic and off, and because it's a busy board - some new people are really standing out as to having the talent desire and belligerant enthusiasm to wear the crown of "MODERATOR STATUS" to your username title!
What it is, is a special type of permision allowing you to control what's posted said or threatened in the forum of your choice. Or ours, sometimes you get no choice cuz we need to see how you do with what you're given before you earn your way to Main Moderator status, after that maybe marchin lockstep for a few, you'll get even more permissions as Webmaster Status.
What this will do for you is, people posting usually respect shit you say a little more cuz they think you'll ban them or edit their posts. Sometimes, you gotta do what you gotta do! But if you abuse it, permissions given can quickly become permissions taken and you get your stupid helmet sent back to the trenches, Soldier, cuz you work to promote the Board and DLR.
What this does for us is, gets us closer to know you as a poster and hopefully you spend more time and posts on the board! Nothing more.. you don't gotta pay us nothin' just make sure nobody's givin the death threats, or posting threats or other personal info on David Lee Roth.
Easy beezy? I think so. Kinda fun, kinda relaxing and if you're a fan of the Diamond one you're always here already so fuckitt - up it a notch for yourself, yeah?
