Judas Priest to make concept album?

According to Blabbermouth, Priest will record a concpet album based on the life (and presumably death) of French philosopher Nostradamus.

The entire CD will then be performed theatrically staged as a musical.

This is nuts.

Nah, I don`t mind concept albums as long as the concept is good.

Historical pieces can be done very well.

Some that spring to mind are Manowar`s "Achilles agony and ecstacy in eight parts" and Iced Earth`s "Gettysburg".

I know neither are albums but both clock in at around thirty minutes.

It can be done.

Staging it as a musical?

Well, they can stick that up their arse.

Green Day did their concept album pretty well. It's possible to pull it off. Halford just has to bring out his inner homosexual and write it like it was a Broadway show.....

Well...I will only say that they have the potential to turn in a masterpiece.

However, their albums tend to be fairly uneven affairs...great stuff wif some fluff as well...

I personally think it sounds kinda ridiculous.
