Well, after a season where they miss the playoffs by a game, the Phils decided to sack moron GM Ed Wade, and instead of being progressive and getting Hunsicker for the job, they brought in geriatric Pat Gillick (probably so Charlie Manuel would have a pal to play with). Gillick then promises the fans big things, and delivers none of them. Cuts payroll, makes the dumbest moves he could....
So, the Phils, needing a fast start to give we long-suffering Phils fans some hope, come out and stink the joint out and go 0-4 so far.....
Our "ace" pitcher gets lit up. Ten Cent Head Myers gets lit. Cory "I'm woefully average" Lidle gets lit. Gavin "he's the future ace dammit" Floyd gets lit......
Yeah...I'm real jacked about this season.
