I have this hobby of blasting my music in order to piss off the neighbors. The problem I'm having right now is that my laptop's soundcard is not 24-bit, and I need that in order to give those CVH remasters they're full HDCD capability. I sure as hell ain't gonna break my bank and purchase a $5k entertainment center. So here are my options:
--Save my cash for now
--Buy a 24-bit PCMCIA sound card for my laptop and keep the Cambridge soundworks set.
--Buy a 24-bit PCMCIA sound card and 2.1 THX Klipsch speakers
--Sell the laptop and make my own custom Desktop (Black with Yellow gaffers tape, i.e. Charvelle) which includes the Klipsch speakers.
A few weeks ago I went to Best Buy and sampled these speakers, and I've been blown away by them ever since. The damn Subwoofers is 10x10x10!!! Not much for a kig dollar home entertainment center, but freakin huge for a computer.
