How much are they worth these days? I picked up this one

22 years ago. But for the last 5 or so it has been a plant stand

or wasting away in a closet.

The stuff on the bottom right is on the cover, not the speaker.

It's oatmeal or baby yak or something.

Excuse the mess, we're renovating.

You got goinked, those speakers are neither Celestion nor Fanes.

I believe Hiwatt cabs came with Fanes stock. These things with white dustcaps in the middle of the cones look like simple stereo speakers!

In Los Angeles these go for $400 to $650 with the stock speakers.

The original HiWatt speakers weren't built as good as Marshall cabs either. At least the speaker cloth on them was done horrible. It would start to wrinkle or loosen over the speakers and look like a real homemade job.

The amps were great! At least the military wired ones were.

The speakers are Celestion. I had one of them re-coned about 20 years ago and had to send it to them. Took forever.

They're dark grey, must be the light.
