I don't really consider GnR full-on heavy metal, but for these purposes...

Appetite gets the nod.

Appetite really should be nominated in 1988, because that's when the record really caught on.

But I still like it better than anything else on that list, so it gets the vote.

Gotta go with Guns... Not their best album, but still pretty damn good.

It was all downhill from here........

G n R is overrated. I like the album, but not in my top 10. Among the living was a truly cool album. Best album they had.

I was one of those cool people who liked them more before they caught on...:)

I wouldn't nominate GNR on the heavy metal list but it's a top rock album anyway...

My choice is easy, AMONG THE LIVING.

One of the tightest, funniest and fastest albums ever...ESPECIALLY with the Judge Dredd theme...

and a song entitled "CAUGHT IN A MOSH"...ahahahaha

fookin' ace, top top top shite as some here would say...describes the metal world of 80's 100%

Where is Whitesnake?

If "Bad Boys", "Crying In The Rain" and "Still Of The Night" aren`t Heavy Metal then I don`t know what is.

Anyway, I voted for GnR.

GNR isn't metal, so I'm going with Anthrax.

If Whitesnake was there I would vote for that...John Sykes tears it up on that album.

I'll give Guns and Roses the vote for best...but I did like Testament too.

Guess I'll go for GNR...not really metal, but...

The Cult ~ Electric

One of my top most played records in 20 years: there's no weak track in there, and the riffs, even if many were more or less ripped off, really, really made it, didn't they?
I dig GnR too, but well, the Guns were always more aimed at teens (because of Axl Rose and his oriented lyrics)... Yet I still listen to "Appetite" because of those kickass guitars...

I'll say these:

1. King Diamond-Abigail(picked this)
2. Anthrax-Among the Living
3. Whitesnake-Whitesnake
