Well...the people of Brooklyn don't want it in the middle of all their brownstones...
but it appears as though this might be the design for the Nets new home...
I can't imagine the apartments above the arena would be that expensive...
would be cool as hell to live there though...
maybe they'll find a way to get the Mets in Brooklyn...

What a great place to live for a sports fan, I mean the area,
not just that building.

I would love to fucking live there...
it really is to bad that you couldn't have a baseball team there...
and I really think that parking becomes an issue...because there would be none really...you'd have to take the subway...or a taxi...
but to have a "neighborhood" team...would be spectacular...

All subway. Yellow taxis don't like to go out of Manhattan.
And I suspect the apartments above the arena WOULD cost a lot. You have some mightly high rent in that area.

Yeah...Gehry designed it as a replacement to what they had developed before...which was a mishmosh of steal crap...

that's usually what Gehry does. he did the Peter B. Lewis building for Case, the exterior is all twisted stainless steel.
