I'm voting for Desmond Childmolestor's little bitch this time.

Even Alicia Silverstone videos couldn't save that sorry Aero-SHIT music.

Dickinson.

Liked what he did with Maiden well enough, but this is where the choices get tougher, and Bruce isn't really up there with the rest of them. The one-leg-propped-up-on-the-monitor bit isn't quite enough to catapult him alongside the greats.

Helluva voice, though.

Robert Plant. The laziest frontman of all times, if you don't include the dipshit from Jethro Tull. Did you know that Plant was actually frightened by Bonham's marching-band-style kickdrum? I read this interview with him.....fucking crazy. He said that in "The Song Remains The Same" movie, he wished they had made the stage twice as big.....said that MSG was a tiny arena, and just thought how easy it would be to get the hell out of there. The dude that was interviewing him laughed, and asked how he felt about the THERAMIN theatrics. The dipshit said that was a welcome break from Bonzo's shenanigans, and not to buy the early vinyl pressings.

That's about all I can remember, but more than enough to kick him thefuckoutof this poll.

Plant?

No way! Killer voice.

Mercury, it's just way too theatrical and

ahem

Gay!

Yea, but had a much better voice than Plant ever had and was a much better frontman. Not to mention his classically-trained piano playing.

And as for his gayness, so what? It doesn't affect my life, and it doesn't affect yours. His personal life shouldn't even come into it. Its not like he's Gary Glitter (give or take a costume or two).

I'm going for Plant, because I'm sick of people calling Led Zep "The Greatest Rock & Roll Band of All Time". Bollocks.

Holy Shit Shaun!

Plant's voice is THE rock voice!

What I meant by gay was the fact that Queen just don't make you want to fight or fuck, which is what great rock music should do.

Mercury was sheer pantomime, not a rock frontman.

for me, Plant just oozes cool, you don't have to run around to be a great frontman

I've never thought Plant's voice was that good. I have it set in my mind that Led Zep are more a name than anything else (if you know what I mean). I've never thought Jimmy Paige is the great Guitar player is known to be, I've always preferred The Ox and Moon The Loon to Bonzo and JPJ, and I've always considered Plant to be a good singer-just good, not great. I've heard them sound like shit live. Whereas, Queen always delivered.

I suppose my argument is, if so many people go to see a band, then, they must be good, providing they haven't been commercialised. As you have probably guessed, I'm not a Led Zep fan, but, they must have been good if so many people like them. Love them or hate them, if so many people went to see Queen, they must have been good (lets not forget that Queen were actually good musicians as well, unlike a lot of "panto" bands). I don't think this about people like Bon Jovi and Robbie Williams, because these have ACTUALLY been commercialised (where Queen were ridiculed).

On a side note, I don't think they HAD to be panto to be good live. If watch their Live Aid performance, they were wearing Jeans, T-shirts and had no lights, and were definatley the best on their, everyone at Wembley was singing with them (bearing in mind a lot of them would have been there to see someone like Spanadu Ballet).

We'll just have to agree to disagree.

Indeed we will.

But it turned into a good discussion.

I accept yor point that if that many people turn out to see a band, they must be doing something right and are not simply commercialised.

Great talking to ya
