It is entirely possible it is the real deal. Why would you see some light?

Do you even know how short the power cables are on Par64 cans?

How are we supposed to see "some light coming out of it" if the damned thing is unplugged?

It is entirely possible the thing was not even plugged in to begin with, but just came loose from the truss above the reporter.

What would cause sparks, a sizzling sound, light, etc. if the thing was not plugged in?


On the other side of the coin, who ever heard of a legit TV studio using Par64 cans for a TV News broadcast? They usually use lights with Fresnel lenses and/or diffusion filters, they weigh a fucking ton, and if one of them fell on the chick, it would land her in the hospital with serious injuries.

You go ahead and drop a 30-to-50-pound weight on someone's head from 15 feet up and see what kind of injuries they sustain. Or even if they survive.

Jury is out on this one. It is quite funny, and it is possible that it is real, but it is equally possible it is not.


Funny how in this day and age, we are so fucking skeptical that even if we see video footage of an actual event, some people still have to claim it is somehow "fake".

Most TV affiliates like to slap their logos all over the set (http://free-reference.com/images/CNN-rp.jpg) to call attention to themselves, and every TV network on the air in the last decade has that little superimposed logo on the lower right corner of the screen. It's funny, but fake. Frame by frame, after she gets hit...and during her fall, her eyes remain open the entire time. When you get knocked in the noodle, your eyes will shut instinctively.
