Today's headline :Lay and Skilling GUILTY!!

Tomorrow's headline: pResident Chimp pardons ENRON criminals

Call me a pessimist, but I don't see these fucking pieces of shit serving one day of hard time in this pararllel universe of Hell that we have all been living in the last 6 years.

A BCE cabinet appointment is more likely for both of them.

No way in a 1000000 year FORD. Too high-profile, and too much public concensus on their guilt for Bush to get near this one. not even his base would support him - at all - on this.

It would be more acceptable for him to sit through and give a standing O to An Inconveneient Truth.

Bush isn't pardoning them in an election year. Have you recently changed prescriptions?

Besides.....

Bush HAS NO "Base" any longer....

unless you count the 3-4 Cons left on this board....

Let's wait until tomorrow and see if FORD reposts an optimistic post. :D

"I firmly believe I'm innocent of the charges against me," Lay said following the hearing. "We believe that God in fact is in control and indeed he does work all things for good for those who love the lord."

Yes, Kenneth. God is in control. And that is why ye were found guilty.

Ye say that ye love the Lord, but ye do not keep My commandments.

Ye hath stolen from thy own employees their own retirements.

Ye hath caused the poor and elderly to not have heat in their homes in the winter. Or cooling on the hottest days.

Thou art a sinner of the worst kind, Kenneth Lay, and ye do not know Me

All I know is that Mr. Lay will have a long time to find Jesus, from behind bars...

A long time?

I don't see Kenny winning a lot of popularity contests in prison.

Neither do I...

But then again, he's a con artist of the highest degree...

He'll wind up in a minimum security federal pen and we will never hear from him again

I like Mike Malloy's take on it. He didn't say this about Lay yesterday, but he's said it in the past to these criminals who have used God as an excuse...

If God was really in control, He would reach down from Heaven and pinch off your head, and then throw it down to Hell so the demons could play soccer with it! :D
