Anyone know which Exodus song begins with a guy calling a lady at a pet shop trying to buy a monkey? For soup. Dang. For the life of me I can't remember the track and I don't have it either. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Absolutely, absolute classic thrash album.

They and Testament were the best thrash bands after the Big Four

Dude I have been through the intro's on Fabulous Disaster, Pleasures of the Flesh and Bonded By Blood and I can't find it.

Are you sure it wasn't the mid part of a song?

Or a B-side?

DAMMIT! I swore it was on one of those. It's a guy on a telephone. He calls an old lady at a pet store about monkeys for sale. She runs down the list of the types she has. He asks which is the most tender. She replies, do you mean like loving? He says no, I mean for soup. Then the music kicks in.

Maybe I'm way off and it's not even Exodus. Flotsam maybe? Although I was pretty sure it was Exodus. Either way, I got you to listen to some goodies.

I'm gonna bump this once to see if anyone has any idea what song I'm talking about. So it may not have been Exodus. But it was around 87/88. I used to go to Tower Records once a week and buy a casette of a band that looked heavy metal. Some were good, others not so good. That's how I found Flotsam & Jetsam, Exodus, Helloween, Metal Church, Grim Reaper, etc...

I need to know what song this is.

I saw a tour called Clash Of The Titans. It had 3 of them with Testament opening. Megadeth, Slayer & Anthrax rotating headlining duties. Testament kicked ass, but everyone wanted to replace them with Metallica. I suppose the reason they didn't was money demands and they would have demanded headlining every show. This was just after their heads got huge.

By the way, WHAT'S THE FUCKING SONG I'M LOOKING FOR GODAMMIT!!!!!! Someone has to know and it's starting to piss me off.

I agree. I've been through the whole catalog. Maybe I'll start a new thread with a different title. There has to be a metalhead on this site that knows what I'm talking about.

Never heard of them, so I don't think so. It wasn't a big band. Someone along the lines of Flotsam. Hell, maybe even Flotsam. I'll have to think of some of the obscure bands I was listening to back then. I'll try to list them later. Maybe if I give you a list of bands it will ring a bell.

Please!

Testament is not considered a great band.

They are the Quiet Riot of Thrash Metal.

Testament are awesome, one of my fav bands!

Legacy and New Order kick serious ass!

However "The Big 4" was a phrase used by journalists about Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax....

Not a case of me forgetting them!
