This is some of the Best Richie Blackmore playing ever, and with Bob Daisley on bass, it's amazing...

Blackmore was really Yngwie's main influence, and I think it really shows on stuff like this...

Is this on DVD ??

Dio should have tried this one with Sabbath. I'd love to hear Tony & Geezer tear it up.

Why wasn't Ronnie James cast in the Lord Of The Rings movies? He would have made a perfect character without any makeup. My best Dio story. I was about 14 (1984-85). I was working on a small lunch truck where the side opens and has drinks in ice and snacks. We would work the Sports Arena for the stoners after concerts. We were working the area where the busses were after the show. After a while, the cops made the fans quit waiting & leave. So it was just our lunch truck and tons of cops, security & roadies. We were swamped. I look at this guys hand & see a bottle of Pepsi and a chocolate pudding pie. I tell him $1.35. As he hands me $2, I look up at him. DIO!!! I shook his hand and gave it to him for free. We kept working, but I could see him sitting in the bus eating the pudding pie. Awesome.

Ronnie remains without a doubt the coolest professional musician I have ever met.

Met him like 2 hours before his gig that night, got autographs - he took the time to have a photo taken with me and my buddy...my buddy didn't get his \,,/ up to the camera in time and, you know, we were both gonna let it go...Ronnie sees it wasn't right and says "What do you say, guys? How about one more for safety?".

Got it right on the second time - if I ever get a copy of it, I'll post it up here...someday...

But that? That to me is the definition of cool.
