The first two were great, Kilmer and Clooney both sucked, haven't seen "Begins" yet.

Batman Begins is the best Batman movie. This movie gives a true depiction of the Batman mythos. George Clooney killed the franchise, and Christian Bale with a great supporting cast breathed new life into it.

Anyone know if there are plans for more?

I liked the 1989 film but the rest of the 90`s films were shit.

Val Kilmer?

Was he ever good in anything?

"Batman begins" is a great start if they make a series in the same style.

Yes, Batman Returns was good.

People all of a sudden dismiss the Keaton movies once Begins came out when they don't realize that it is obvious Begins looked to Keaton's Batman as the template on how the cinematic dark knight should be (as far as how the acting was).

His 20 second Elvis impersonation in True Romance wasn't very convincing....

What about Real Genius?

Top Gun?

The Doors?

Heat?

Wonderland?

The Salton Sea?

The dude's no hack.

That being said, he sucked as Batman...that is all...

Begins...9 out of 10...almost fucking perfect...all because of awesome casting...Katie Holmes being out of it would have made it 10/10...

Hey, that`s the thing about the end of "Batman begins".

They imply that the next film`s villain will be The Joker, but how can they get anyone to top Jack Nicholson or even Ceaser Romero?

bueno bob
06-08-2006, 08:23 AM
Nicholson...ack....hated him as Joker, but of course I hate him in just about every damn movie he's ever been in...

I'd rather see somebody actually fucking MALICIOUS as The Joker...I don't think I'll be disappointed...

WACF
06-08-2006, 10:44 AM
I do not care for Nicholson at all...but I did think he did an excellent Joker.

It would be hard to follow that...

nicholson is an amazing actor, one of the greats!

Only villain I ever liked in those films,

Jim Carey was awful!

bueno bob
06-08-2006, 10:55 AM
The problem that I have with Jackie-Poo is that he goes into every role the same.

Jack Nicholson playing Jack Nicholson playing the role in question. He's what Jack Black and Keanu Reaves will be in 25 years.

I like actors who can seemlessly blend into whatever role they're playing and you never know it's them...THAT'S where the talent's at...

Figs

(1) Batman Begins - excellent, the older ones don't come close

(2) Batman - ok, I don't like Keaton, and once I saw a Joker Face on the side of a car it lost me. Decent origin of the Joker - dumb climax (the smilex parade).

(the rest) Fucking horrible beginning to end. How can they be so stupid and almost completely ruin an easy money maker franchise...

I was reading about Crispin Glover possibly being the Joker, I think it was just someone's wishfull thinking, but that would kick ass...

bueno bob
06-08-2006, 11:18 AM
Crispin Glover is EXACTLY the sort of actor I'm referring to.

He would be fucking awesome in the role...and should get it...

IMDB says Paul Bettany is in talks for the Joker. That's a good choice, I'd still rather see Glover.

HOLY SHITE JUDGE FIGS IS BACK!!!

where have you been?

****

I haven't seen "Begins"

From the earlier ones, I personally feel BATMAN II was the best...it was the best looking one, great views with THE PENGUIN and his world, plus the casting - Danny Devito and Michelle Pfeiffer were PERFECT picks...

Yup, "II" is my favorite.

Batman Begins...fuck the rest of the "campy" trash wannabee super hero films that Hollywood rammed down us with Ahnold and Jim Carrey.

Michael Keaton...I like his movies, but Batman was a stretch.

Val Kilmer...what was Tom Cruise busy? WTF were they thinking?

George Clooney?!? Holy dumbfucker!

The current cast minus Mrs. Cruise is stellar and I hope that DC takes the necessary time to bring us more installments with Christian Bale as THE Dark Knight.
