Okay...here's what we have...

2 golfers...

1 in Mickelson who's won the last 2 majors. If Tiger did that...there'd be nothing else being talked about. As it stands...Mickleson is halfway to the Mickleslam...

1 in Woods who's coming off the first bout of life...his Dad died...

many think Woods will win...dedicating it to his father...but he hasn't played since then...and has only played once in the last 11 weeks.

many think Mickelson will win because he's on one of those tears...

What do you think?

and of course...Singh won today...to add another interesting mix...

I think we are in for some high drama...

more later...

Nah, I don't see Tiger in the hunt at all....

His head won't be back in it yet....

I'd sure like to see him prove me wrong though....

Well..we are about to see if Tiger is BETTER than Jack...

when life happened to Jack...he struggled...

in the past...Tiger's just walled up...and win...

but he hasn't had anything like this happen to him yet...

the scary thing...is that it could make him play better...

I doubt it...but with Tiger...you never know...

Tiger really had a poor showing on a tough course...in tough conditions..

he'll miss his first major cut since...I'll bet since he was an amateur...

wow...

12 over for the tourney...

Montgomerie prepped for his normal weekend fall at Even...

Mickelson at 3 over...

Vijay and Duval at 5 over...

It is his first missed cut in a major since he was an amateur...

Did Jack ever miss a major cut?...discounting when he was an old fucker?

Holy Shite...

I must confess, I don't follow him closely anymore....

Is he kickin ass on the senior circuit, or is he still playing with the big dogs?

POJO_Risin
06-17-2006, 12:48 AM
Jack?

He doesn't play at all...anywhere...

DlocRoth
06-17-2006, 12:53 AM
OK, right.....

He hung it up in the last couple of years though, right?

But he never did the old guys with 10 foot long putters gig.

yes mate, and i can think of half a dozen or so others who would be far more
highly regarded if it weren't for the mighty golden bear.

i can't see ANYBODY dominating like that again.

anyway, i have to hope our boy ogilvy can hack the pressure.

Over the past 3 years or so...Jack played his last majors...

and had...more or less...a tour for each event...

He did play some senior events...and won some majors there as well...had some battles with Isao Ioki...if I remember...

He played his last Masters last year...then surprised everyone by playing the British. His grandson had died...so he played that tournament with his son...Steve, I think (Jackie usually caddies for him) as his caddie as a healing process deal...which was his last Major...

originally...he decided not to play any Majors other than the Masters (he still thought he could win if the right circumstances took place) after 2000...and those were the last years he played in the Open and the PGA...

The look on The Kiwi's faces about the course said it all.

Just wasn't his open, better luck next year.

Good to see Tiger playing again.

Tiger and Jack...

interesting...

Jack's Dad died when he was 30 as well...and of cancer...

Jack hadn't won a major since 1967...until that British...and if you remember...

when he won that tourney...he hurled his putter into the sky...towards his dad...and he normally didn't show any emotion...

I don't think people remember how close Jack was to his Dad...

the similarities between the two are many...on the course...and some off it...

of course...by the time Jack was 30...he had 5 kids...but his wife...was like the general at home...he didn't have to worry about any of that shit...

no idea where I'm going with this...

Cambo?

Are we talking about Michael Campbell?

It should be interesting...the course will only get tougher...it will be interesting to see who lasts...

Mickelson is at 3 over...but obviously still in it...

and if Duval can continue his birdie power...and keep his head...he has as much talent as anyone to run of a birdie run...
