Saw this film today, really didn't know what to think.

I came out feeling confused, I just couldn't judge it as piece of cinema because of the issues surrounding it.

I'm glad it wasn't a Hollywood sentimental epic, but even so I can't shake the feeling that, whatever the directors intentions, it is bad taste to make this so soon.

Anyone else seen this, particuarly interested to hear what folks in the US think...

Dupe thread binnie but absolutely delighted someone else saw it besides Terry and m'self. :)

Mine (http://www.rotharmy.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=36563)

Dunno why you'd post it in the political forum though? It WAS a movie, even if it was depicted rather well and endorsed by the victim's families.

It was a full on, I dunno? Not a waste of timer?

Difficult subject but an extremely well done adaptation. The ending leaves one (at least myself) reflective, shocked, teary-eyed and silent)

Nice to discuss it with someone else though.

Yeah, I din't really know where to post it.

I don't think it's been out that long here, sorry that I duplicated a thread.

It was shocking, and raises the issue, but I just think it might be too soon to make a film like this.....

It's not something you would ever say you "enjoyed" but it was a powerful experience, for all of its flaws....

Yep, dupe thread about a movie meant to dupe an American audience.

Pure fiction.

Yeah, let's make a movie the libs will love.

It'd have something like Bush and Cheney in their bunker smoking some stogies while flying their remote controlled planes into the World Trade Center, while all the supposed 'passengers' are secretly ferried off into underground alien bases across the USA, never to be seen again.

But Bill Clinton never knew anything about any of this! He's my hero.
