1991, Rock is being turned into a pathetic place, Pop & Rap are starting to take over. A little known band from Seattle gets someone to beg to play the video on MTV, They intianly refuse, Then they finally play it, And the shit took off like Wildfire. This is the band that pretty much defined the decade as far as Rock & Roll goes, Much like GN'R and CVH defined the 80's, Aerosmith the 70's, and The Beatles and Stones in the 60's

Green Day - Paper Lanterns

Rare performance footage of this song from their first album. Not the best quality video or audio, but a great representation of an indie band on their way up. And don't miss the Elvis impersonation at the end.

Nirvana - In Bloom (original version)

Nirvana attempted to record their second album in 1990. This is about all that survived from those sessions, so SubPop Records released it as a single and made a video of the guys wandering around Seattle. This would be drummer Chad Channing's last recording with the band....

The most criminally under-rated band of the 1990's, and also one that didn't stay together very long...

Neurotic Outsiders - the first "supergroup" to contain GnR members, and I still say they're better than Velvet Revolver. Get the album if you can find a copy....

Steve Jones - (Sex Pistols) vocals, guitar
Duff McKagan - (GnR) - vocals, guitar
John Taylor (Duran Duran) - vocals, bass
Matt Sorum (GnR, The Cult) - drums

I had that album but lost it during a move. It's not punk per se just low-down fucking dirty RAWK with an attitude!
