The winning league in the All-Star game gets home-field advantage in the World Series.

Does anyone besides me think that this rule is utter stupidity?

I have never liked the rule.

Makes the rigors of a long MLB season less important.

The wildcard did a lot for playoff excitement coming down the stretch, but home field should always be based on record.

WHO GIVES A FLYING FUCK ABOUT THE ALL-STAR GAME EITHER WAY...

If you want it to count...

have the all-stars from Japan come over here for a 3 game series or some shit...

for some kind of fucking trophy...

or something like that...

oh wait..that would ruin their little world cup of baseball...wouldn't it...

Kind of where I'm coming from.

It shouldn't matter for something important like home field advantage for the Fall Classic.

They should have the managers arm wrestle and the winner's league gets the home field. Makes about as much sense.
