Ok so you guys might laugh, but this dude actually got to play a gig for
SATAN!

Who do YOU know who actually played a gig for The Devil?
There is nobody in rock music today who has ever played a gig for The Lord Of Darkness, except for Lighting Boy Martone.
THE HEAVIEST MOTHERFUCKING GUITARIST ON THE PLANET!!!!

I guess you could say Steve Vai is actually the heaviest guitarist because he played a gig for Satan also, and he is a real guitarist, unlike Lightning Boy Martone....
However recently his stuff is pretty much fluff...while Lightnin' Bwah played the low-down, heavy, kickass blooze shit, therefore Lightnin' Bwah wins by default.

You'll probably catch a lot of shit for that, since there are some people here who absolutely hate Steve Vai, but I do agree

I remember that film, pretty much an hour and a half of a quest for a lost Robert Johnson song that doesn't exist and then that great scene at the end.
Didn't Ry Cooder do the guitar parts for Lightning Boy?
I mean except for the last part that he "beats" Vai with (which is actually a piece of music by Vai called "Eugiene's Trickbox", I think)
So technicaly, Ry Cooder is the heaviest player ever!
Who'd have thought it?

If we are really talking heavy, Dime has to be the man.

What guitarist weighed more than him?
Maybe Jerry Garcia at some point?

True enough. But when you come from a cow town like Ellensburg, you eat lots of red meat.
