description on the package of VHS
In December 1974, Queen had released three albums, the third of which had certainly made it's mark by reaching number two in the UK charts. They had completed two major tours, one of the UK and one in the USA, as a support to Mott The Hoople - and were close to the end of their first British headlining tour. The final date on that incredibly successful tour was December 20th at the Rainbow Theatre in north London. The band decided that a film of that night's concert would be a great promotional tool, and arranged for the gig to be filmed in its entirety - the first time they had ever been filmed live. Some months later, after much editing to take it down to just 30 minutes, the film appeared as opener for the Led Zeppelin film 'The Song Remains The Same' at cinemas throughout the UK. After a limited run, the film was stored away, and never saw the light of day agai, until now. The Original master tapes were found, still in excellent condition, the missing sections were edited back in, and the result is an hour of the best archive footage of Queen ever seen. A classic concert by a classic band just before they conquered the world - the rest is history...
Hummm...
I thought the date was Nov 20th until now.
