I'm watching Agassi-Nadal (I can't stand that fucking prick), 1/16 finals.

It's Andre's last participation this time... He said his very last tournament would be the US Open.

First set, 4 games all. Andre has difficult service games, but he still holds his serve. His back obviously hurts; he can still dictate his will in rallies though (none of them will go to the net).

30 all on the Spanish brat's serve. Ace. Fuck!

5/4 to Nadal. Well, well...

30/40. Set point. Saved.

Another set point. Bang! A huge serve. Set point saved again.

Deuce. A long rally, a backhand out: third setpoint. Saved by another very big serve!

Adv. Agassi. A full ace: 5:5!

Go Dede!!

----------------------------------------------------------------

Federer seems bound for another final... I still can't believe how he let the last French Open final go like he did - he would have made a full Grand Slam otherwise.

There's no scarecrow in this year's draw.
Roddick, who's already a has-been at the age of 23 or so, has big trouble with very average opponents.
Nalbandian, a former finalist, has already been beat in straight sets.

I understand why BECKER (38 )dared coming back now... He was only defeated in 5 sets by a Spaniard who got through the 1/8s!... His toughest opponent was... Boris! :)

5/6, Andre serving. 40/0, game! 6 all, tie break!

GO ANDRE!! :)

1/0 Agassi. A very long rally, Andre's backhand is too long: 1/1.

2/1 now. Andre plays the good old windscreen wipers! 3/1! :)

3/2, Andre to serve. ALLEZ DEDE!

A great serve, 4/2. 5/2! 5/3: Andre seems to play on one leg.

Yikes! He missed two shots by a millimeter! Damn, the prick was 6 yards away!

A fucking winner, and it's set point to the fucking dirty brat now. Arrrgh!
Ace, fuck it! 7/6 to the prick! Four points in a row. Dammit, dammit, dammit!

Andre was defeated 7/6, 6/2, 6/4. Too bad. Bye bye Andre.

Damn, there will be someone to kick that prick out of there, won't there?

Roddick is in the same part of the draw. I'm sure he will show him Wimbledon has been no place for goddamn lifters anymore for 25 years, since McEnroe ended Borg's series.

This year's tournament looks even more boring than over the last few years.

I guess I'll watch my old VHS of the 1980 Borg-McEnroe final, for the thousandth time tomorrow afternoon.

Now Roddick was defeated by an... English player!? In straight sets, at that. What a joke!

I saw Hewitt was still there in Nadal's part of the draw. At least he can beat the Spanish brat. Go Lleyton!

WTF Jérôme?

A FUCKING SCOTTISH PLAYER if you don't mind...:)

Murray is going to be one of the best players in the world in a couple of years. Grass isn't even his best surface...

A fellow finn Jarkko Nieminen advanced to the 4th round...he's ranked 22 on the tournament.

:o So sorry, Sesh... Just for once there's a SCOTTISH tennis player out there! :D

Murray is going to be one of the best players in the world in a couple of years. [/B]

That would be so odd: nobody in the circuit for ages, and suddenly one Scotsman in the top ten! :)

Yes, Nieminen went through, but... 9/7 in the final set!

He'll play against Nadal. I hope he (Jarkko) will show him how lawn tennis should be played.

Nobody ever more like...:)

There's even a Monty Python episode where aliens come down from space and to win Wimbledon they convert everyone in the country to be Scotsmen.:)

What happened to the Americans? Noone in the mens or womens quarter finals for the first time since 1911!

:D The Pythons rule and always will!

Today Amelie Mauresmo (WTA #1) beat Justine Henin (WTA #4) (2/6, 6/3, 6/4) and became the first Frenchwoman (since 1925!) to win Wimbledon!

The last Frenchwoman who won was Suzanne Lenglen (6 titles, 1919-23 + 1925), in a bit different times... :D

Federer is the man to beat right now. I am really not a fan but I played Tennis in college (scholarship actually) and he has one of the best games to date.. I was actually at the Bollettieri Acadamy at the same time as Agassi was. He was this kid with long hair who hit the ball harder than anyone had a right to. Not to mention an ego to boot. He was larger than life as a player.

Props to Federer's talent and ability but I am looking for the next American star to step up and beat him as well.. It is time..

BTW: Happy Birthday PoJo!

Cheers,

KiD

Ha ha! I watched a little Wimbledon, I'm not a huge fan, but those girls grunting is simply better than porn!

This one is beautiful. :)
There was a time when I'd have known her name, but I no longer follow the game like I used to.
BTW, it's Maria Sharapova, I recognize her now.
This year she was far from being as sharp as she was 2 years ago. She looked pretty heavy, almost slow on the court. :(

It's true that there is much more spice in women's singles. :D

This is Martina Hingis's... Still in good shape after her 3-year hyatus, eh? :)
