. . . He is a man who does not live on this Earth - he dwells in the Cosmos, far beyond our ability to comprehend.

He has known death, and He has risen from that death.

He is Spock; to know him is to know perfection. Come worship . . .

All of the same could be said of another religious icon...

Spock would find this church illogical.

Also, their doctrine is in error...

Following His death, Spock was resurrected on his home planet of Vulcan.

Spock was resurrected on the "Genesis planet".

Are you laughing because it's such a clever parody of another religious website (http://www.mormon.org/learn/0,8672,794-1,00.html) ?

I recognized the layout right away.

BTW, whatever happenned to the blond, blue-eyed Mormon Jesus of the 70's and 80's? The picture they got there now kinda looks like Cherone when he was in "Jesus Christ Superstar".

One of the reasons I found the site so damn funny. There's a certain "logic" to it.

Spock would probably find religion illogical. At least the way most practice it here on Earth.

I still laugh whenever Mr. Christ decides to post cos I KNOW the pic in the av is a free sample from The Cult of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. :p

I've seen that far too many times growing up in the land of Zion. lol :o

Someday, we should start a thread, no?

Seriously, talk about "sheep!!!"

Actually, it's not. It's the Head of Christ (http://www.anderson.edu/sallman/headofchrist.html) portrait that was painted in 1941 by a guy named Warner Sallman.

It's pretty much the modern standard portrait of Christ, 15 million known copies had been made by 1945, so it's not out of the question that the Mormons might have used it. But they certainly didn't originate it.

WOW!!! I did not know that. Yes, that portrait is in many a Mormon ward house. I always thought it was done for them.

This painting is by Del Parson. He's the guy who does much of the LDS stuff, so you probably have seen a lot of his work in Utah.

His bio doesn't specify that he's Mormon, but he was born in Southern Idaho, and now lives in Utah with a wife and six kids, so....... do the math.

All of the non- believers, must belive, that with the wisdom Spock, still understood the importance of the future. So to say he did not belive in a God is to be lying and assuming your personal traits into anothers
future.

The Church of Spock should not let the destroyers of free thought
confuse the direction of the thread .

Yeah shure, maybe there was some consultation with the writers, Spock has always been Nimoy and Nimoy would not let the writers
destroy Spock or confuse the character with finalities that do not exist.
