Thanks for the preview Ally. :) After diggin' The Contender series, I'm kind of looking forward to the flick. However, that trailer was pretty lame. Don't you think? Fuck, and to think I'm older than Moses cos I remember seeing the first one in the theater with my folks. Oh dear... :o

I was forced to watch the marathons on cable with my parents. I never got into it. Everyone else around here in the house is huge into it.

The steps scene is, of course, so easy to make fun of.

I remember when we were in DC and scaled those fucking steps at the Capitol Building. F'in A! My brother and I did the lil dance with our arms in the air afterwards. People were staring...

The only one I didn't like was 5 with Tommy Morrison. 4 with the Russian was kinda cheezy, but still ok. The first 3 were genius. This one might be good.

The Contender was a great TV show. Anyone know if they are bringing it back?

Hahahahaha!!!

I have a speedbag in our garage. When I go to town on it the "ROCKY" theme is ALWAYS goin' on in what's left of my brain.

I'm actually pretty excited about it, truth be told.

Honestly, Sylvester Stallone is in better shape now than he ever has been, truth be told...and the story sounds really good and very respectable - the old lion going out because there's nothing else left...

Same as what happens to many of the greats...

LET ME SAY THIS - if Rocky ends up with another championship at the end of this movie and beats "whoever"...I'll be pissed...

The best thing for him to do is to go along through the movie, doing OK, training in a gym with kids...one of which who totally idolizes him beyond belief...Rock thinking he could still make a serious run at it...and then, at the end, losing to the kid who idolizes him, who he basically passes off the torch to...

That would be fitting, I think.

It's just a teaser trailer. They aren't gonna give up anything until we get closer to December. My gut tells me that this is gonna be a good flick. Sly knows about the previous bombs, and knows what works.

That was the worst piece of shit trailer (sorry, TEASER) I have ever seen.

30 seconds of Sly's fucked up, bulbous, geriatric eye balls?

No thanks.

Lame trailer.

But I think the movie looks promising.

I loved the first three movies.

IV is where things started getting stupid -- although it was still entertaining.

Rock V just plain sucked.
