My housemate apparently trashed my computer - it simply died today, so she plugged hers in to fill in until I can find out what's wrong.

Well this fucker has a bootleg copy of Windows on it, so there are lotsa places I can't go and see. All my passwords, porn and incriminating photos are on my 'puter and dammit, I want them!!!!!

There's a piece rattling around inside of it. That's not good, is it.

That is so far away from anything resembling truth...

At least in my experiences...the militant lesbians who are like that are so far outweighed by the bi's who do want a man in the mix it's ridiculous...

Oh Bob! You are so naive! I am quite disappointed.

Men's fantasies generally include this element of "this chick thinks she only likes women, but she hasn't met ME yet." Well if that scene actually happens for you, I'm gonna make an "out there" prediction that you will be paying for it at the time, or with some really NASTY looking women.

My point is that the "lesbian" chicks you'd WANT to join in with are posers cashing in on your most uber manly desires. Bi (and or porn star or stripper) is not the same as a true lesbian. No, I'm just talking about what REAL lesbians would do if approached by a man with a "hey I'm here, now blow me" attitude." They'd kick your ass. And besides, you'd never do that with a real lesbiancause you'd never want to get near them anyway.

Another issue that I always bring up at DDLR. The double standard of men who cannot STAND homosexuality between men - but think it would be really COOL if their girlfriend would bring one of her girlfriends along for a threesome - cause girls kissing n' shit is so hot. Don't men get that straight girls dislike the girl on girl shit as much as men dislike men on men?

But women aren't stupid. Even straight women will consider putting their vomit tendencies aside with another girl if they think they can get something out of it. Even I have c onsidered this. Haven't done it yet, the offers have not been good enough. But to have sex with another women for fun?????

Oh please. I'm up to my fucking neck in lesbians, seriously. I live in fucking Portland, for Christ's sake...it's like the lesbian capitol of the universe or something I think...gay people all together, really...I know more gay people than straight ones. By a LARGE amount. Most of my friends are gay, or at the VERY least bi. And I know a lot of people (the majority being lesbians, but a good portion of gay men, too). Those "Militant Lesbians" you're talking about are VERY few and far between in my neck of the world, though - although yes, they do exist, most women swing both ways. Moreover, I've travelled across the entire U.S., and I've met bazillions of people...and the same is true everywhere I've been...lipstick bi-girl lesbians outnumber militant lesbians 30 to 1 at least...and a militant lesbian will be the first to tell you that...

But...whatever...

:)

Like I said...men...keep the faith...the numbers benefit you...

:D

On a related note, from my perspective, women have been desensitized to the notion of being with another woman sexually by the media...magazines...movies...television...whatever ...not that those are the only reasons, but they've definitely helped to throw it into the public a lot more.

Being with another woman...it's not the "taboo" thing to do anymore, and girls growing up in this day and age almost see it as "norm" to be attracted to other girls because it's more increasingly treated as "norm". Erego, the base urges aren't buried as much.

The DEFINED straight (and I mean DEDICATED straight girls) who profess no interest in women at all, that I've met, I can count on one hand and have fingers left.

The bi girls...it's not just because they think they're going to "get something" out of men, at least not in every single case - it's because the attraction is there. It's not so hard to believe or understand.

It's the way it always has been, it's just more apparent these days because it's less of a taboo to admit it than it was in your parents generation...and will be less and less so as time goes on...

Same for all gay culture..."Ellen"..."Will & Grace"...all groundbreaking to the point where now gay is very close to the norm...

Totally straight? That's the new "gay". Actually I believe there was a magazine related to that topic in Out Magazine not too long back, if memory serves...

I won't argue that a TRUE dedicated lesbian will be offended if you tell her to "suck your cock" or whatever, but the point is, a TRUE dedicated lesbian is EXCEPTIONALLY hard to find these days. Of ALL the ones I know (which are a few), ALL of them have had sexual encounters with men. And I do mean ALL of them. Maybe only one or two of them have any negative to say about it ("Oh God, it felt so wrong! I felt so bad! It was SO HORRIBLE to have a penis inside me!!!", etc). Most of the dedicated, Doc Martin wearing butch hair cut bull dykes have banged men and have nothing bad to say about it, save that they prefer women and came to that decision later on down the road.

Trust me, even your most dedicated tried and true dyed in the blue lesbian male-hater has a strap on...and probably more than one experience with a man where, yes indeed, she had an orgasm because it felt good.

The idea that a so-called "real" lesbian has a detest of all things penis is just not something I've seen. More over, the "real" dedicated lesbian is far outnumbered by the lipstick lesbian who flows both ways, not because she's a gold digger, per se, but predominantly because she has attraction to both sexes.

Just the way it is.

You live in a strange place. Freeflowing bisexuality is the norm? Uh......NO. Not in middle america.... Pride weekend was last month and you couldn't FIND a lipstick lesbian around here.

Maybe you've found a niche where you perceive it differently? Maybe the norm is somewhere in between what we've both come to believe? I just can't buy the extreme that you're offering - that most people are bi and are OK with it. Too much total homophobia out there.

What are you doing reading "Out" magazine?

And I love gay male porn.

My wife's bi and reads the magazine on occasion. Sometimes I flip through it. I don't know, I just don't see the raging homophobia everybody else does, apparently. In the bible belt, I guess, yeah, to a degree...but not even so much that anymore...

Experiences may vary...

Trust me, though, out here in the Pacific NW (and I think Ford will back me up on this), the gay lifestyle is just...very commonplace and very much accepted as norm. I think, actually, there are at least as many gay clubs and bars here in Portland as there are straight ones.

Gay pride weekend out here is a virtual juggernaut...

SensibleShoes
07-13-2006, 08:20 AM
yeowwwwww. Very different here. We aren't the bible belt by any means, but we have a huge Catholic population. Very prolife - anti gay. Pride weekend is small, and shunned by the public at large. I think we have 3 male gay bars and one lesbian bar.

Population 250,000, largely democrat, mostly conservative.

So I guess the lesson here is if you are looking for FMF 3somes you should head to either coast.

I can guarantee you that homophobia is alive and well. I'm constantly catching crap for hanging out with my gay friends. Ny neighbors in my small town (beyond suburb) shun me completely because if I have gay friends, I must be gay myself.

The mainstreaming of some of these alternative lifestyle concepts is so fucked up that in one city in upstate NY, (and I'm guessing NYC too) it is not only totally acceptable to have a baby when you are an unmarried high school student, it is now a status symbol - to the point where some young girls will actually lie to their classmates and have fake baby pictures. "oh I had it over the summer". Now THAT's fucked up.

So I believe that lots of young girls are experimenting with bisexuality because it's "cool" and attracts men. Thus, the getting something for the behavior. If you believe diehard straight girls are hard to find these days, that might be why. Personally, I have absolutely NO arousal that comes from the idea of being with a woman. And I have lots of lesbian friends who would LOVE to convert me. In fact they have a joke that for every convert, they get a toaster. (Don't ask)

Anyway, the one thing I have a problem with is the mainstreaming of FEMALE bisexuality, when male bisexuality is simply not accepted.
Like, if I asked you if you ever experimented with a guy, would you say so publicly, even if you had?

Well there goes my chances of a MFM threesome! See the double standard?

The toaster convert joke is from an Ellen DeGeneres bit, if I remember correctly...ca. '97, '98ish? She used it in a standup...or maybe it was the coming out episode, I don't recall which...

Well, I guess it's true, then...everybody sees things differently. I am absolutely willing to get behind the idea that the east and west coasts are probably a bit more progressively minded as opposed to middle America...

I think that male homosexuality might be coming a bit closer to public acceptance...Will & Grace did a lot for that, I think...quite a few TV programs have lead or supporting characters who are gay now...at least from my niche of the world, it's not becoming a rarity to see two guys walking down the street holding hands (and not during a pride parade or celebration, either).

On my end of the spectrum, I totally support both men and women in whatever lifestyle they choose to live, be it straight, bisexual or straight up gay, period.

As to whether or not I'd admit having experimented with another man...it's hard to say, and I'm afraid I can't be totally honest with you because I really don't know. I will say this - I'd feel more comfortable talking about it now than I would ten years ago, were that actually the case.

Female/female sexuality is far more acceptable by society, I think, than male/male is, so yeah, the double standard still exists...

Like there's anything wrong with that. It's only their way of expressing love for a real man, and one has to respect that.

Which part of the statement do you see as a way of expressing love for a real man?

The twaddles who act like they're "bi" to get something out of a guy and invite him to join them?

Or the dykes who despise the sight of penises, and move to remove them from their owners?

If they despise the sight of penises, why would they want to remove it from the man?

I mean, I think I know the answer, but it's scaring me... do you mean to say that if they indeed removed the penis from the man, he would actually by accepted by them (the dykes)? Become a plaything? A toy?

Is it actually the penises that make dykes hate men?

The mind boggles at the possibilities.

I'm sorry, I'm not making any sense. It was all a good joke that went off trail, and now it's nothing more than a nonsensical attempt at lame humour.
