Agreed, I mean in the pros ESPN was picking The Ravens to make the playoffs this year. And we all know That is very unlikely IMO.


I think though a team that will suprise is Purdue (My Other Favorite Big Ten Team, Sorry Poj. My dad raised me to root for them, He grew up in Lafayette, and My Grandfather went to Purdue.), Purdue will be the Darkhouse this year, They have four at home easy opponents before they have to play Notre Dame in South Bend. Plus they don't have to play Ohio State this year. If they can manage to beat Iowa, and Wisconsin they will be contending for the Big Ten Title, But Knowing Purdue they'll choke halfway in the season then come back and end up playing in detroit or something :rolleyes:

their offense is fantastic...and with a now great RB...they could be unstoppable...

but their defense lost way to fucking much...

including their entire linebacking corp (good guys taking over for them though, and most of their defensive backfield)...

OSU isn't a given.

WVU, because of their shitass schedule...should be the pre #1...

their schedule sucks ass...and they are good...

and you go after 1 big school...and obviously a football school. Nebraska would make some sense...and they should be monster better this year...

IMO...the Notre Dame of this season...

The Big 10 was traditionally an Eastern Mid-West conference until Penn State came along. when they got PSU, I always thought Pitt would be a natural fit with the traditional rivalry. Then...when the Big East football was decimated...WVU became another one of those rivalry teams...

I think ultimately...the Big East will lose a slot in the BCS...if that happens...WVU will bolt...

The tough part would be making conferences...

You could do it North South, or East West...

but both ways would kill some tradition...or overload...

you could go East/West...

West...Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Northwestern, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Purdue

East...WVU, PSU, OSU, Michigan, Michigan St., Pitt

But obviously...most of the powers would be in the East.

You could go North and South...but that would most likely split up OSU and Michigan...which they would never do...

you could do tradition vs. Non-tradition...

WVU, Pitt, Penn State, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota

(those would be the last five to join...then you just pick a team that doesn't fit in the other...I'd pick Iowa AND Minnesota...gives another relative power team...and a geographical fit to Nebraska...you'd then have Pitt, WVU and PSU relatively close...and same with Neb, Iowa, Minnesota)

then you have OSU, UM, Michigan St., Illinois, Purdue, Northwestern and Indiana
