Marshall JMP 50 short chassis, as made for Iron Maiden in the 70's, only a batch of 500 were made for them specifically to tour with, as obviously as any rock band knows you gig hard you play hard and need backup amps. This amp has been restored by guitar guru Pete Cornish, who does the Pink Floyd pedal boards and all of Jimi Pages effects and Amps, he actually remembered the amp when i took it into his workshop! The amp has a 4watt to 75watt switch, its a 50watt amp but pete rated it at 75watts!. I have all the circuit board pictures and can take more to satisfy anyones curiosity, this is such a good amp i dont wanna let it go. I reserve the right to end the auction early, the amp is sold as seen, i have a good courier who handles alot of music gear, so they take care. happy bidding.

I'm not buying this guys story. Made for Maiden in the 70's???? Maiden were a pub act playing Londons Eastend in the 70's. Their debut album wasn't released until 1980. Sorry, but sounds like a bull shitter to me.

This guy doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. He's so surprised that Pete Cornish would rate this amp at 75 watts. Well numbnuts, that's because the 50 watt rating is for a CLEAN sound with little distortion. If you crank the amp wide open it'll put out close to 75 watts. Hell, most 100 watters will put out 140 to 160 watts, depending on the bias, at a wide open setting.

What makes this JMP50 so different from any of the others that are floating around?

I'd give him a grand for it....

1. It did not sell. The dude was asking 7500 bucks for it yes, but the auction ended with 0 bids.

2. 50-watt heads typically produce 75-watts in the states from what I have been told by amp technicians (correct me if this is wrong guys), as they are built in the UK, and supposedly the difference in power systems between US & UK causes this. 100-watt heads also crank out a bit more here in the US. Mine has been rated at 120 watts.
