I love all the Jay and Silent Bob stuff...wondering what Jason Mewes is like now that he's clean.

has anyone seen it yet?

Are the "Clerks" the same thing as the "Jay and Silent Bob?"

You told me about them earlier and you know me. Sometimes I have trouble connecting the dots. :o

diamondsgirl
08-04-2006, 12:56 AM
Yup, pretty much the same cast in all those movies

ever seen them? funny shit

Mewes character (Jay)is funny as hell

He does this rap..."Doin' coke, drinkin' beers, drinkin' beers, beers, beers, rollin' fattys, smokin' blunts..." :D

MAX

No, I haven't seen any of it. I told you that.

So these "Clerks" people are the same thing as the other stuff?

Please explain? :)

Jay and Silent Bob are in "Clerks" and "Clerks 2", and "Dogma", and "Chasing Amy", "Mallrats", etc...and much of the cast of those movies are in "Jay and Silent Bob". They are all produced by the guy who plays Silent Bob (Kevin Smith)

Hmm... MAX hasn't seen Clerks OR the Sopranos...

Gotta question his judgment at least a little... ;)

Ok and I thank you. :)

Are they all the same characters? You just told me that they're funny and I beyond trust your sense of humor. :)

I really wanna see a funny movie and especially if DG gives it props.

I'm just asking if they all go together, if I'll miss something and what not?

See "CLERKS" first MAX...it's the first movie and introduces all the key people....

RANDAL kills me....

Yeah...I am gonna see Clerks 2 next week.

The first one was a scream.

Actually, everything Kevin Smith does is a fucking riot.

Max, you should see "Clerks" first, as it's the first of the franchise, so to speak.

I think you would appreciate "Dogma" as well, though it's based on Catholicism rather than Mormonism.

All the Kevin Smith movies are good ("Jersey Girl" is the only one I haven't seen yet.)

As for Clerks II, it wasn't really what I was expecting from a "Clerks" sequel, but it holds up on its own as a great movie.

Max will definitely get the "Pillow Pants" jokes ;)

Clerks II was brilliant!!!

Rosario's juggy titty dance is worth the price of admission alone!

Damn I would love to redecorate her shitshack!

Thanks for the suggestion my brutha. :)

Ok, DG wants me to check out "Jay and Bob Strike Back" cos she thinks I'd lmao. She knows my humor so I trust that. :)

However, I think I'll do a double-two-day dose if FORD's tellin' me that there are Mormoid referrences in "Clerks."

So I'll do the two over this weekend.

These flicks sound fun. :)

Hey FORD, on a both separate but similar note, do you remember the flick "Fletch?" That had some good Mormon jabs. I'm ALWAYS into flicks that poke fun in that direction. Any suggestions?

Just watch Clerks first.

That is all you need to know.

diamondsgirl
08-05-2006, 02:11 PM
if you are going to catch two then do "Clerks" and "Jay and S.Bob"

I think the latter is the funnier because its all about Jay and Bob who crack my shit up...but Clerks is a good intro into who they are and what their deal is...lmao...

has anyone seen the animated Clerks? any good?

also, Max...George Carlin is in a couple of these flicks (Dogma and Jersey Girl)

I know you dig him :D

I just heard that in the pic I posted (in my first post here) Mewes is doing a scene like the one from Silence of the Lambs where Jamie Gumb (the psycho killer) is talking to himself in the mirror...

is this for real? must be funny as hell

(and maybe kinda hot ;) )

Clerks II was pretty funny shit. Saw it the day it came out. There's some great scenes, like the ass-to-mouth dialogue and the whole Star Wars vs. Lord of the Rings is hilarious. Jay and Silent Bob are the shit, but I'd have mixed feelings if they ever did a Clerks III, it would almost be like it was a parody of itself. The original Clerks is a cool story how Kevin Smith pretty much made it on a shoestring budget with maxed out credit cards.

I just watched "An Evening With Kevin Smith" yesterday. If you're a fan of Jay + Silent Bob, it's kind of interesting to get some behind the scenes kind of thought behind his work. Plus there's a cool rip on his royal freaky symbol-ness, prince.

Clerks (1994) is a classic.

Love that film.

For me, it clearly defines us Gen X'ers.

Everytime I watch it, its like I'm 20 again.

Haven't seen the sequel -- though I hear its good.
