Always dug Alice, until some dude here told me how he
dumped his original band (who were all his school pals)
when they hit the bigtime.

So he's a bit of a prick like that. I wonder if he ever made
the effort to reunite those guys ???
Im talking about the dudes that played on the original
Schools out... Around that era....

Welcome to my nightmare was a very disturbing album
to listen to whilst tripping... :p

That "Steven" song.. Is that the one where the dude is
a ghost of a child.... That didnt mix well with the magic mushies

Is someone calling me, I hear my name

Steven

That's the first solo Alice Cooper album, released in early 1975

Every song on Welcome To My Nightmare is a classic...

Thanks for the video's. Alice was and is one cool rocker. I have always been a huge fan. Ever listen to his radio show "Nights with Alice Cooper". It's funnier than lit shit in a bag on the front porch, someone else's that is. Alice is a class act.

Oh well, here I go...your collection of videos only shows Cooper's sad decline. The fucking MUPPET SHOW? Is that rock and roll? And the second video is Alice trying desperately to keep his hand in the '80's game, obviously not realizing that a lot of his rock and roll cred vanished when he released crap like "You And Me".For the uninitiated, watch the Stone Pony show, and you'll see a great show by a great band that wasn't even that popular at the time kicking ASS. Alice sold his soul, but not for rock and roll.

You apparently don't get the Coop my friend. Solo Alice did what solo Alice wanted. He was not trying to "desperately" fit in with the trends. He was just incorporating things he liked, and sometimes wanted to mock into Alice the character's vision, or should I say sound. Alice Cooper 'the band' and Alice Cooper solo were two different animals. Solo Alice was his clever interpretation of what was going on at any given time. It was with the "band", too, but with his solo work it was his own slant. Ever notice the humor in his stuff? He didn't take himself seriously.

Here's a link to Alice's original bass player Dennis Dunaway and his new bands site. There are some cool tunes posted at the site that have an old school alice sound. Nice to see him still going at it.
