Chet Atkins is probably the best guitarist to ever work in country music, but I had no idea Jerry Reed could actually play like that. My knowledge of him was limited to his bad acting in Burt Reynolds movies and a few 70's songs that were as much comedy as music.

Jerry did go off into comedy a lot, but he also did write quite a few hit songs. Elvis did a great version of Guitar Man, which he wrote. Most of his songs are credited as Jerry Hubbard as the songwriter.

Actually, there are many who feel that Jerry Reed is the greatest country picker ever. Including me.
