If you took any one of your posts on the subject and substituted "black", "Asian", or "Mexican" for Muslim it would look like something right out of a KKK rally.

It's just as wrong to stereotype someone for being Muslim as it is for the color of their skin.

No one in here [other than maybe Sesh] lumps ALL Christians into a prejudice belief.

Why do you always need to go to the absurd?

Whoa! You mean some groups, often with completely separate (and competing) agendas, goals, beliefs, ethnic backgrounds have committed terrorist acts?

Do you hate Jews because the State of Israel was founded by a "terrorist group" that used bombings against British soldiers to achieve their statehood and ethnically cleansed Israel of most Muslim (and Christian) Arabs?

So should Christians be, whatever you advocate for "Muslims," since they are responsible for the bloodiest wars ever fought like WWI, WWII, and the Cold War?

call it the way you want, they are ruining it for me and soon for a whole lot of people.

freedom stops where somebody else's starts, this war is ridiculous and it's based on religion therefore it is fucked in the 1st place.

I feel that they have abused all their privilege and that enough is enough.

The solution lies in the oil, but nobody talks about it...
$$$$

so anyway delete these threads, change their name, call me names, I don't give a fuck.

you won't change my point of view, and my point of view is I repeat:

I am sick and tired of seeing innocent people gettin killed for people who don't even give a fuck about life, and i am tired of turning the tv on and hearing, seeing, arabs complaining and stirring shit around the world.

I would like to see them gettin involve for something else but they don't.

"Arabs" are the only ones stirring "shit around the world"?

And all Muslims are wicked, because of it?

Dude, don't you see?

You're no better than them, because you're saying THE EXACT FUCKING THING THEY ARE.

Muslim / Islamic Extremist :

"I am sick and tired of seeing innocent people gettin killed for people who don't even give a fuck about life, and i am tired of turning the tv on and hearing, seeing, Americans complaining and stirring shit around the world."

Let them take the racist low road.

When you group them ALL together by a "race", you've given up the higher ground, and the better argument.

That's all I'm saying.

Racism is wrong, regardless of who's doing the profiling.

of course racism is wrong, but at least the americans preach something ''normal'' a democratic lifestyle, that allowes us to bitch at each other on the world wide web!!! In a friendly atmosphere, The americans are wrong too ( their religion of choice being the OIL)

we could probably switch to an alternative energy and we would win the war...

I'm all for live and let live, but these country don't seemed to want it that way.

and yes RACISM is wrong, but if we can't speak our mind nobody can never change or get better as for me I would like them to focus their energy on poverty, aids, peace... but they just won't...instead of israel

As it turns out, unibroue and Okanagan Springs are affiliated companies. Both are divisions of the Sleeman company, and apparently they have a few other regional micros in the portfolio.

Hope that hasn't changed the quality of the beer any :(

Sleeman Made a deal when they bought Unibroue, the deal is pretty simple, they have to promote it, keep on making it here locally (k-bec)
and keep it a quality item.

these elements are part of the contract, and so far it's been good.

Because of the laws on alchool level in beer, "Unibroue" (when it was locally owned) had to write a lesser pourcentage on the labels... just to be able to sell it in the States.

So, if you read 6%, it might really have been 9 or 10%

The lady who wrote
this letter is Pam Foster of Pamela Foster & Associates in Atlanta.
She's been in business since 1980 doing interior design and home
planning.
She recently wrote the following letter to a family member serving in
Iraq.
Check it out!
WHAT'S ALL THE FUSS?

"Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not
started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September
11,2001

Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally
murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan, across the Potomac from our
nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania? Did nearly three
thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing
death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was "desecrated"
when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet? Well, I
don't. I don't care at all.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for
incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East Start
caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in
Saudi Arabia.

I'll care when Abu Musab al-Zarqawi tells the world he is sorry for
Hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling,
slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called "insurgents" in Iraq come out and
fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in
mosques.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of
nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide
bombs.

I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First
Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead
of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights. In the meantime,
when I hear a story about a brave Marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist
to obtain information, know this: I don't care.

When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have
been humiliated in what amounts to a college hazing incident, rest
assured that I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not
to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank
that I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat,
and fed "special" food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is
complaining that his holy book is being "mishandled," you can
absolutely
believe in your heart of hearts that I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled "Koran"
and
other times "Quran." Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and ---- you got it, I
DON'T
CARE!

If you agree with this view point, pass this on to all your e-mail
friends.
Sooner or later, it'll get to the people responsible for this
ridiculous
behavior! If you don't agree, then by all means hit the delete button.
Should you choose the latter, then please don't complain when more
atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen here in our great
country.

Are you serious? they low-balled the alcohol content just to get it over the border??

I thought that La Fin Du Monde tasted kinda heavy. 11% would be the reason why. When beer gets that much alcohol, the sugar gets to be a bit much even for a seasoned beer drinker such as myself. Definitely not one to drink on an empty stomach!

There's a reason they sell that stuff in 4 packs. You ain't gonna need 6 of em!

Actually, the "Trois Pistoles" has a 11-12% alchool content without the heavy sweet taste... (so they say).
It is a dark beer.

The "low-balling" is also for the other provinces.
I wonder if it's still applying with the new aquisition, plus, law suits and all...???

No, not on an empty stomach and not for the ball game, when quantity rules over quality...

It also gets to be more pricy than the averge beers...

Gee, this thread has turned into a beer lovers thread. Cool!

I need to correct the alcohol content numbers on Unibroue's products:

Maudite - 8%
Fin Du Monde - 9%
Trois Pistoles - 9%

They've only ever made one beer as high as 11% and it was called La 11 - I've never seen this one for sale anywhere...very disappointing.

Sleeman's partnership with Unibroue will not have any effect on the Unibroue brands (Upper Canada beers were unaffected - try Rebellion Lager BTW - very tasty!!). Sleeman has been buying provincial brewers outside of Ontario for years as it facilitates the distribution of their name brands - the provincial trade barriers in our country are more easily negotiated when you own a company in said province.

What could be of more concern for any brewery owned by Sleeman is that it has been sold to Sapporo (deal hasn't been approved yet but it's essentially a done deal - $400M). I'm happy the sale went to Sapporo as the thought of Sleeman's being bought out by Coors/Molson was quite unpleasant. Sapporo is a premium beer brewer and has expressed a desire to expand both Sleeman and Unibroue brands in the US. Sapporo recognizes the supperb brewing qualities found in both brand names and with Unibroue it sees itself getting one of the most respected and award garnering beer producers in the world. A status symbol that would make any Japanese businessman proud.

Oh, and by the way, Unibroue's beers are yummy! Raftman and Trois Pistoles are my favorites. La Terrible, the one and only one I've had, was probably the best beer I've ever tasted. Unfortunately, I've never seen it again.

Politics and beer!
The perfect mix for living room talking and problem solving...

Wich is exactly what Robert Charlebois (the founder of "Unibroue") understood very well one day...

Political activist R & R signer in the 70's-80's, he tamed down in the 90's, singing the blues and starting his own brewry... perfect lifestyle.

He's also the one who said (for his marketing campain), that "You might be reading 8%-9% etc... on those labels but you really are drinking 10%-11%"... "Gotta sell to those Canadians and Americans"!

Translating Charlebois' lyrics?
Well... THAT's some sports! L.O.L.

Hilarious you say?
When I need to cheer up, I put the "Best Of" from the 70's and I laugh my head off...

What a life... a successful signing career and a brewry...
He's the one laughing now, retired (from the brewry) with his millions!
