I'm really enjoying this album, they finally seem to be gelling as a band.

I thought the first record was a really soild release. On the down side there were too many songs, they could have cut out three and made the album a much easier listen. Also, it sounded as if the Rage guys didn't want to move on and just kept doing the funk-rock riffs, which limited the bands scope, but Cornell certainly brought that eeriness to the plate and gave us some great tunes: Cochise, Show Me how to Live, Like a Stone and Shadow of the Sun were all decent.

A good debue, and certainly far stronger than most other "supergroups"

But the second record was a piece of dog shit. Not only did it have light weight, Hootie and the Blowfish prodcution, but the performances and lyircs sounded like a band who had lost all of their fire. Cornell was writing trite and generic songs, and the whole thing was just too "nice", no anger or bite. Rarely have I been so disappointed with an album.

But the new one is really good: it's not a "great" record by any means, but is a good one and well worth a listen. They have moved beyond the funk rock riffs into different stlyes, Cornell has turned down his high notes to match that. This is much heavier than the last record and brims with passion thorught.

If i'm being picky I would say that a couple of songs don't need to be there, and Morrello's gutiar solos just don't work in these songs: his crazy noise things just don't compliment Cornell's style at all. That being said, they are really gelling as a band, and this blows this shit out of most of the newer breed of bands.

Audiosave are no longer dull.

Thought, opinions?

Audioslave has been a big disappointment to me. I thought the combo of Cornell and Rage would be alot better than it's been. Most of the stuff they've done so far just bores me to tears! Their music is very uninspired and bland if you ask me. I heard the new single from this latest album, Original Fire or something, and I wasn't too impressed by it...same ol' boring shit.

I feel the same way. Those guys sound like they are gonna fall asleep.
Gotta pass on this one. I'll have another round of Soundgarden please.

Audioslave kicks ass. I liked their debut better than the second album, but I like them both. Can't wait to hear the new one. Thanks binnie.

I picked this up yesterday and have listened to it in my Car and just listened to it on my 2 channel rig in my media room. It is a decent album which sounds more like the work of a genuine band than its predecessor, "Out of Exile".

While I liked their debut album much more than "Out of Exile", I feel this release "Revelations" is probably their most colorful, diverse, and consistent record yet. Give it a couple of listens and you will see what I am talking about..

Fuck them! I wouldn't buy this if they were the last band on earth.

Audioslave looks california, but feels Minnesota..

Give Me 'Garden and RAGE seperately on their own, and I'm a happy man.. Merge the two, I don't know it...It doesn't work for some reason. I like dochise, but then it just wasn't the same..

Two Great Bands who need to reuninte and be Co-Headlining Acts...Not merge together and write ballads.

The sum of their parts should be better than it is, but for some reason they just don't do it for me....although Chris Cornell is a million times better than Zack what's his face

Unless he's hiding it, Chris WAS a million times better. Hopefully he'll put more effort into his upcoming solo album.

"The orignal fire" is probably the least inspired song on the record, sounds like a filler and I had no idea it would be a single.

The rest of the album has a lot more fire to it: I was also disapointed with "Out of Exile" but this record is a lot stronger....
