Nice looking guitar...reminds me of my Washburn PS500.

Same kind of pickups.

If it fits your hands and you like it...go for it! At least you played it before you bought it!

Well if it's a Japan model, it will say Made In Japan on the back of the neck right by the neck heel...

That eBay seller seems legit to me, I'm an eBay freak....

It doesn't matter though...

In the long run, It doesn't matter what the cost if it turns out to be the guitar for you...

I remember being a little kid and Sunday dinner was always over at my grandmother's house. After dinner my parents and grandmother would watch Lawrence Welk and I remember the guitar player had a Fender Jaguar.

I thought it was the coolest looking guitar and wondered what all those switches and knobs did. I have a picture of Hendrix playing one upside down.

I'm not sure that was a Jag Jimi was playing...

Definately a Jag in the photo I have because you can see the metal switch plate with the slider switches in it and only a Jaguar had that feature on it. The Jazzmaster didn't.

Anyways, they look like the ultimate punk nerd guitars to me. Dress up in a 70's styled polyester suit with Brylcream in the hair and thick black glasses ala Lawrence Welk and plug into a huge higain amplifier and just beat the living shit out of it and sing hateful death metal. LOL!

Hmmm...

Maybe so...

I like them, and Japan Fenders are awesome, I have three...

And this quote from DLRdelight! says it all...

"i just played one today and yesterday and i fell in love with it

Case closed...

yeah mostlikely i will get that guitar by next week. just waiting for my check to come in.

right now i only have 3 guitars. a squire bullet from 1984 (i know this because i took it apart and saw the date under the fretboard if i remember correctly). i started with that guitar because i found it in the garauge and it used to be my dads. now i experiment with it. i have painted it white and black and then to the red. then i got a sg look alike epiphone g-400 because i was in my doors stage of music and my last purchase was the wolfgang quilt top special tabacco sunburst

Well we wont hold the wolfgang against ya ! :)

DLRdelight!
10-11-2006, 04:00 PM
its a really great guitar. the wolfgang is what i plug in 99% of the time and its tuned down half a step for the cvh. i was planning on getting the 1978 legend guitar from meanstreetguitars.com but dont know how to get feedback on it from owners but i ran into the jaguar so im going for that this month. by december im planning on a telecaster but whats the major difference between the 399 ones and the 999 ones??

Sometimes nothing...

That's not really true, the hardware on the Mexican model is garbage...

The American made guitars are capable of being great, but quality control is terrable, In my opinion, one out of maybe ten is nice...

I'd find a nice Japan model telecaster if I were you...

You're even safe buying one sight unseen from a place like ebay or even an online music store, I feel the quality is that good...

My Mexican Strat sounds good including the bridge on it. The plating isn't the best and it's starting to rust but I really don't give a fuck. I let my kids beat on it and I toss it in the corner when done with it. It's like a cheap whore that for some reason gives me pleasure and it's cheap and expendable. For that reason I love the thing. LOL!

Sounds like a total piece of shit, and if you call that love, I'd be afraid to see your wife...

LOL! Well there was a certain Dutch/Indonesian dude who blew people away playing a piece of shit guitar that needed a quarter to stay in tune and had cheesey bike reflectors on the back of it. Some crazed people try to copy every detail of that piece of shit.

Henery Garza of the Los Lonely Boyz plays Mexican Strats and that guy gets killer tone. Of course he's playing the ones with real pickups and solid wood body. Not all Mexican Strats are created equal ya know. Like Mezcal or Mexican whores, you want to spend a few extra pesos because El Cortio tastes like rotten piss and a hand job is safer and more pleasurable than Seniorita Stinky Cunt.
